Football star and Internet sensation Gavin "Anaconda" Adams is the biggest celebrity our little town has ever seen. But I had no idea who he was when I accidentally walked in on him naked. I was shocked, seeing all of him, a cocky grin on his face. I didn't know what to do. So I ran. No matter what I do, I can't get that image out of my head. To make matters worse, Gavin wants a date with me.

There is nothing as disheartening when an author decides to write one of the most cliche sex scenes over and over again for 6+hrs. Add that to the lacking chemistry btwn the leads and you end up with this book. Not much to praise about this book. Leads acted more like teens and the issues they had were really made up issues i.e Brianna was passing by Anaconda's room and happened to see his co-star kiss his cheek. She runs away crying. Anaconda sets out to find his love interest and finds her crying. She of course is quick to accuse him of cheating and ends up slapping him for no reason other than he touched her. This "issue" is resolved in a short matter of time when Anaconda brings his co-star to explain the kiss to Brianna... ummm... yeah ... WTH??? Talk about childish.

Female narration was OK but male narration was not for this book. I think he would probably be better with an action packed book.

So far in this series I have always felt that Harry can conquer anything. I mean, he "converted" and booted out a fallen angel (or rather, it's shade) from his mind! If that doesn't count as proof then I can think of a dozen other 'hells bells' moments that could count. By the time I was done with Turn Coat, I felt as though my emotions took a turn on one of those mighty-give-me-a-heart-attack roller coasters. I know the next book in this series is a game changer; not because I already read the summary (which I have!) but because of how Turn Coat played out. Harry has kept me company for over a month and I will be sad when there are no more books let to listen to. As always, James' narration is perfect and I am so happy that he narrates the whole series. Anything else would just be disheartening!

A few years back I listened to the first 2 books in the series... I finally found my way back to this series and I must say book 3 grasped my attention and didn't let go...There are some really detailed and awesome comments out there... so my two cents may not provide anything of value to the general opinion. All I can add is to trust that if you enjoy stories about vampires (FYI... not the twilight kind), ghouls, ghosts. fae and all sorts of "other worldly beasties" then trust that the Dresden Files will deliver every time! No two stories are the same... the secondary characters are shuffled as needed with each tale. This one introduces us to Butters. I must say, Jim Butcher took the premise of a cowardly fellow and made him into an instant celebrity by the end of the book. I could go on and on but what's the point? If you are new to the Dresden Files... start from book 1 and enjoy the ride! Jim + James take this series to the next level.

At 34, I'm reeling from a divorce. I don't want to party or try to move on. I just want to stay home and post a new recipe on my blog: Brynn's Dips and Balls. But my friends aren't having it. Get out there again, they say. It will be fun, they say. I'm still taking a hard pass. Free designer cocktails, they say. And that's a game-changer. Too bad my ex shows up with his new arm candy. That's when I lose my mind.

I am currently in the middle of a sci-fi series that has 15+ books...I needed a break and decided to check out what's new in romance and stumbled on Man Hands... I have listened to Tanya Eby narrate but this is my first book with Tanya as the author... I have tons of Sarina Bowen books so I was fairly confident this would be an enjoyable listen.... I love Erin Mallon and was sure she would not disappoint. I love to listen to Luke Daniels narrate Kevin Hearne books... but this is my first time listening to him in the romance genre... I knew Luke was a great narrator but sometimes switching genres can be a bit tricky. I am happy Luke narrated this book... Both narrators made this book stand out. It was not only hot but it was funny as hell... just what I needed! Best 6 hours spent all in one listen. Best part, no cliffhangers and there is more to come!

RM what happened? I was so into this series until this book. Book one, Jace had me swooning. Book two, Zeke had my heart melting. Book three, Trevor had me breathless. Book four... well I can't find the words to describe how disappointed I was!

This is Knox's story... In Book 3, Knox mentioned using a skip tracer with a questionable past to help Trevor out of his situation... Well we get to meet her in this book. Darya is a Russian on the run. She assumes her friends identity (not going to spoil why) and decides to try to get more out of her new life. Enter Knox. She asks him to mentor her in exchange she will be his sort of intern. Things go from platonic to more from there...

My issue with this is that Knox and Darya's relationship was not easy flowing like the other relationships in this book. Knox is cold and calculating in his relationships (again not going to spoil why) and lets Darya know where things stand BUT when Darya does what he wants from the get go he gets pissed??? On the other hand Darya is quick to admit she only wants a lustful relationship from the start but by the next day she decides she is in deep??? I get insta-lust to more... where RM when wrong was transitioning to the "more" bit. As the reader/listener, Darya and Knox only interacted like 2 maybe 3 times outside of the bedroom and then BAM they HAVE to be more... how can a listener/reader really connect with that? I mean throw in a few swoon worthy dates.... a few tender kisses and touches... and a few real heart to heart conversations outside of the bedroom and maybe I can connect with the "HAVE " to be together notion. I really wanted to like this book.... like I said the first 3 in the series were worth every credit I spent but sadly... this one is just not for me.

John Lane is fast becoming a favorite narrator of mine. He is no Sebastian York but can hold his own as a narrator. I would love to hear him narrator sci-fi romance or paranormal romance... I haven't checked yet but maybe he has and I am missing out.. lol. Rating a narrator is a tricky thing in my opinion. For me, I love his deep male voices and his female narration sound like ...well.. a female. The fact that he pulled off a female with a passable Russian accent is a huge plus in my book!

Some people just can't handle Vegas. My friend warned me that Vegas can turn the most straightlaced girl into a party-crazed slut. I didn't believe her. I've always been the straightest of the straight. Boy, was I wrong. I hate being wrong. My first morning in Vegas and I wake up in a hotel room with no memory of the night before. Oh, and there's a naked stranger lying next to me who gives a new meaning to the word hungover. Things go from bad to worse when I find a wedding ring wrapped around my finger.

25 minutes into my audio and I am done. I like the idea of the story but the first few lines were so cliche. Add on and over the top friend who makes sure to drill in how awful the heroine looks after a wild night out in Vegas. And finally narration that just did not deliver... I mean, if the boss didn't sound like a teenager then maybe I would have stuck with this book.. Sorry but this book is just not for me...

Bo and Shelly made my heart simply melt! Their story caught my attention and kept it from start to finish. I love Shelly and her battle to have it all despite her major issues and I love Bo for being the perfect balance of this relationship. I laughed out loud at some parts and i got sad at some parts but what made this book my favorite was the fact that my devotion was split between Bo and Shelly. Put it this way.... even during the difficult part of their relationship I could not pick a side because it was just that difficult to pick from two perfect compliments of each other. I love CB's narration. He did most of the book. I have listened to AD before and i will say she was perfect for Shelly. I know she is one of those narrators you either love of hate but in my opinion she was perfect for this book. As always the Winston brothers are full of tales that just bring this series to life..I can wait for the next book!

I'm a monster. That's what Brandon thinks when he flees the medical institute that changed him. Living a normal life isn't in the cards for him because, while he can hide his scaly skin, his wings are hard to miss. So he runs and lives in the shadows where monsters belong. What he didn't expect to find were others just like him, and they call themselves dragons. Or so Aimi with the violet eyes tells him when she pins him to the ground. Seriously, though, dragons? He doesn't want to believe, but the evidence is mounting.

This is my first full listen to one of Eve Langlais' books. Unfortunately I have abandoned others due to really awful narrations.... Not the case here, as I rather like Chandra Skyye

Brandon born as a gator finds himself trapped in a lab run by his insane uncle who happens to a wolf shifter. He agrees to be a lab rat for a mad scientist (rather a bunch of them.. but his uncle is the main villain!) in order to free his sister. When he finally escapes... Brandon has been transformed into something else.

Aimi is almost 28yrs old and need to escape the responsibilities that come with being a single dragon ripe for child bearing living under her mother's house. She forms a plan.... find a mate (preferably one she can stomach), get preggos, move out and start her own family... easy enough... NOT

When Brandon and Aimi meet it's different. There is the chemistry but they both don't instantly fall head over hills in love for each other. Brandon is used to more conservative type women does not expect Aimi to outright tell him her plan and that she intends to claim him. The dragon thing seems to be too much for him to swallow. He is/was a gator and not once has he ever heard of any dragons... only in fairy tales! So like any semi-sane man, he runs... Soon he find that not only is he drawn to the crazy beauty but as it turns out her family is able to help with a bunch of issues he has going on including trying to save his sister from the clutches of his evil uncle.

When dragons go to battle... hold on to your seats... And when dragons mate... well be prepared to be entertained! I loved this series and would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to listen a fun dragon book! This is light listen.. there is a bit of action and a big story line that ropes you in but it is more romance than it is about dragons and dragon world.. just figure I would mention that in case anyone was wondering.

Here is a light fun listen that for some reason reminded me of delicious tasting candy... Bash and Penny have a relationship that is always just a little bit more than just work.. Having never met before, Bash is floored when he finally meets Penny. Soon the two find themselves heading out of town to fix Penny's heart because her mother (and that's using the term generously) is getting married..... and the groom ... well he happens to be Penny's ex ... It's just a messed up reality that Penny has to deal with but magnificent bastard that he is, Bash is definitely up for this particular task!

Sparks fly between Bash and Penny and they decide to try the friends with benefits trap. Of course, things get out of hand and emotions get thrown into the mix. The journey is sweet and hot and all around heart melting. The best kind of light listen for someone who just finished an emotional rollercoaster read. This has all the feels of a perfect rom-com. The characters are just perfect together. Great banter and great secondary characters help to make this an enjoyable listen. This is told mostly from Bash's point of view. Tyler Donne is a great narrator, he is one of those that you will either love, tolerate or flat out hate. I liked him and his narration was fitting for a light listen.

I like Lili Valente and will definitely keep picking up her books especially after a heavy listen!

I hated that he took it out on me because he didn't want to be here. I hated that he brought girls from our high school back to his room. But what I hated the most was the unwanted way my body reacted to him.

I have read some of Penelope Ward's other books and have been generally happy with her books but this one has me on the border. I generally don't indulge in taboo type books but the reviews were good about this one. I was OK with the beginning of the book as there really wasn't anything wrong with crushing on your step brother at 18 after having known him for a few months. Sure it walks the grey area of the moral line but still not as bad as bonded step-siblings turn lovers... now that would be an entirely different perspective. All was good until the 3/4th down the book when the author uncovered the first major bomb "I am my brother's bastard son" ....YEP let that sink in! And while there were a few more bombs,, nothing was as shocking as that one line...

I am also not a fan of love triangles esp when the third person has so much invested in the relationship and is portrayed as a "great catch" but of course, will have to be crushed in the end. This book was an emotional roller coaster that just gutted me over and over again before trying to piece my crushed heart back together. There was so much left unresolved .. like, what about Greta's mom... how did she cope 5 years later? or Alec's mom... how was she coping with her own struggles?. There is one part of this book that annoyed the heck out of me... when Alec was telling his side of the story... the author pretty much re-told the entire book from start of finish using the the same previous lines told from Greta's point of view.... I had to fast forward past those chapters...The ending did not leave me with my usual HEA-ville feeling I normally get form great romance books.

Yes, I finished the book and it was a good listen but now all I want to listen to next is a light easy rom-com to take away the weight of this listen. As for the narration, Simone Lewis is an OK narrator but she just didn't bring out the full emotions of this book. For example, when Alec was backed into a corner and lashed out with his feeling..well Simone Lewis' tone was monotone... just reading another line in a book. This isn't my best Penelope Ward book but I don't want this to discourage anyone from her books because she really can spin a tale. If you are new to her books..I would suggest trying Mack Daddy or Playboy Pilot first before attempting to listen to this one ...
