After 20 years in Britain, Bryson returned to the U.S. and decided to reacquaint himself with his native country by walking the 2,100-mile Appalachian Trail, which stretches from Georgia to Maine. This is his humorous, inspiring account.

I really enjoyed this audiobook. Well narrated by Bill Bryson. It is both very funny and very touching.

This is one of my favorite Discworld novels. It features "the watch" which is always a recipe for success plus the story line is excellent. I was a fan of Nigel Planer's narration but I think Stephen Briggs is also excellent and he brings the characters to life in this story.

It's hot. It's dry...very dry. There was this thing once called The Wet, which no one believes in. Practically everything that's not poisonous is venomous. But it's the best bloody place in the world, alright?

I am a big fan of the Discworld series, but I was disappointed with this book. I think Terry Pratchett might have been off the boil on this one. I thought the humor was rather repeditive and predictable...making fun of Aussie beer and vegemite over and over again, etc. Thankfully I also downloaded "Jingo" at the same time...a much better book from Pratchett on form.
