In the Halow system, one of Earth’s three sister star systems, tek and magic - humans and fae - are at war. Kesh Lasota is a ghost in the machine. Invisible to tek, she’s hired by the criminal underworld to carry illegal messages through the Halow system. But when one of those messages kills its recipient, Kesh finds herself on the run with a bounty on her head and a quick-witted marshal on her tail. Proving her innocence should be straightforward. Until a warfae steals the evidence she needs.

This is hands down the BEST performance of an audiobook I've ever had the pleasure to listen to. It even has the sound effects that are integral to the story, and the narrators were perfectly chosen. Exceptionally well done!

Former bounty hunter Rachel Morgan has it pretty good. She has left the corrupt Inderland Runner Service and started her own independent service. She's survived werewolves, shape-changing demons, bad-hair days, and sharing a church with her vampire roommate, Ivy. She even has a cute (if human) boyfriend - what more could a witch want? But living with a reformed vampire isn't all it's cracked up to be.

There wasn't anything I didn't like in this audiobook. The narrator is perfect for the story, easy to listen to, and manages to make every character distinct from herself. The author is phenomenal as usual, and I've read this series countless times as its one of my top five!

I really loved the story, but the narrator was difficult to listen to. It was very weird listening to such a graphic story with such a sweet, innocent sounding voice!! I would have enjoyed it a lot more if a different narrator had been chosen.
