Dry and preachy
Somehow Michael Crichton made a novel about genetically engineered dinosaurs and made it dry and extremely preachy. While the story concept, the background behind the characters, and attention to detail are all exceptional, Crichton ruins all of it with Malcomb's scientific preaching and lack of emotion. The whole book just seemed rigid and clunky, even in the action sequences.
Then there is the ending. The actions of the characters at the end make absolutely no sense. Even after the motives are explained it just seemed to not make any sense.
Overall, the book is okay. I probably will not listen to it again.
