Now considered a classic in the field, this remarkable book was the first to fully explore the mystery of life between lives. Journey of Souls presents the first-hand accounts of 29 people placed in a "superconscious" state of awareness using Dr. Michael Newton's groundbreaking techniques. This unique approach allows Dr. Newton to reach his subjects' hidden memories of life in the spirit world after physical death.

Our many lives are vignettes between the main act, not the other way around! What a revelation. I have already been exposed to these concepts with Weiss and Martini, but this was laid out in a really superb way. I especially loved the details of the transitions from life to death to life. The levels of souls got a wee bit tedious though. I agree with others that the CONSTANT “Dr. N” and “Subject” was annoying and distracting and could have been dumped with simple voice change and pauses. I would definitely recommend this audiobook. I may have to buy the hard book though to jump around abd restudy.

In this historic recording Eknath Easwaran, who taught meditation and spiritual living for over 40 years, reads his selection of lifeaffirming writings from the saints, sages, and scriptures of the Christian, Hindu, Sufi, Jewish, Buddhist, and Taoist traditions. This collection includes passages from Easwaran’s translations of the Bhagavad Gita, the Upanishads, and the Dhammapada. Easwaran’s reading is sonorous and deep, slowing down the mind and drawing us into a world of timeless wisdom where our worries and concerns fall back into perspective.

For over 30 years, this collection of sacred passages has been a rock in my foundation. I have the book, the cassettes, the CDs, and now the Audible book. My only disappointment in the Audible book is that it is abridged excerpts and not the entire book. It is still worth having, but if you enjoy this, you will want to have the book too.
It is read by the author, who is a revered teacher of a spiritual program. Although he is from India, his collection includes many Christian passages, as well as other faith paths. Although Sri Easwaran is passed, he lives on in the volumes of books he authored, and his spiritual program.
I will keep this on all my devices for regular listening, especially my bookmarked favorites.

You have been lied to, told there's no alternative, no choice, and that you don’t deserve any better. Brand destroys this illusory facade as amusingly and deftly as he annihilates Morning Joe anchors, Fox News fascists, and BBC stalwarts. This audiobook makes revolution not only possible but inevitable and fun.

The premise and concepts of this book are appealing to me, so I would be engaged in hearing anyone give the pitch. What made this utterly delightful as well, is Russell’s wit and charm making it anything but pedantic. There were a couple times I had to stop it to compose myself and take a bathroom break I was cackling so hard. His delivery is often an articulate rapid fire vocabulary extravaganza, with parenthetical asides, so you have to hang on for your life. But it is worth the ride!

Academy Award nominee Samuel L. Jackson ( Pulp Fiction) rocks this mock bedtime story, capturing a hilarious range of emotions as the voice of a father struggling to get his child to sleep. Go the F**k to Sleep is a bedtime book for parents who live in the real world, where a few snoozing kitties and cutesy rhymes don’t always send a toddler sailing blissfully off to dreamland.

Before Liz Lemon, before "Weekend Update," before "Sarah Palin," Tina Fey was just a young girl with a dream: a recurring stress dream that she was being chased through a local airport by her middle-school gym teacher. She also had a dream that one day she would be a comedian on TV. She has seen both these dreams come true. At last, Tina Fey's story can be told....
