Years ago, Martin cracked open his Bible and began wrestling with a few fundamental questions. He asked, “What if every single word of Scripture is absolutely true and I can trust it? How do I respond? Something in me should change, but what? How?” This audiobook is the result of that exploration. Writing as our guide, he uses a storyteller’s imagination to illuminate key moments from the Scriptures, primarily from the life and ministry of Jesus. In addition, Martin shares key moments from his own journey as a disciple - and bondservant - of Christ and a mentor to others.

I am an LDS woman and thought it would not be within what I could not accept. But Charles's way or telling the stories about the Savior are so tender and real. He has a way of saying what is in the scriptures and bringing a reality I have not experienced before. I listed to "We are all Bleeders " several times . I am so grateful for your extreme wisdom in knowing the scriptures.

The return of the long-lost ten tribes, a new Jerusalem being built, heavenly messengers from beyond this life.... It may sound like fantasy, but according to the scriptures, all of these things will really come to pass before our Savior comes again. In fact, these signs were designed by the Lord to alert true believers to his imminent return. The question is, Will you recognize the signs?

I bought this book because my room mate was reading it. I have enjoyed all of David Ridges books so I began to listen. My first experience was of the sweetness of the Saviors words telling his disciples not to worry. So we too must not worry but live as best as we can!!!

By divine design, rites, rituals, and ordinances are filled with symbolic meaning intended to help us better understand God’s Plan. If we do not understand the symbols, we cannot fully understand our covenants. In this new book, author Alonzo L. Gaskill presents divers ancient and modern rituals which are illustrative of symbols and practices Latter-day Saints may recognize. The ordinances of the Gospel are both the vehicle by which we make covenants and also a means by which God seeks to teach us. This truly unique book will guide you to a richer understanding of, and appreciation for, what you hold sacred.

I am 66 years old and left the
church due to my own lack of understanding of what I was doing and why. Now in my return I can not read enough , hungry to hear all that is available for me. I feel like a child newly being Baptized. I am so grateful for the wisdom of Alonzo. Only wish he spoke more slowly but I am grateful for rewind.

I enjoyed listening to the Book. I recommend it for “ Busy” person
I had left Christianity for 30 years, but I guess it was my time to finally re hear the words about Jesus. I can not say ALL that was brought to my mind as I walked the path path to Jesus Christ who testified of GOD. The reality is as he says in the last few minutes. We have a Choice. The one thing no one take take away.
In “Man search for meaning” the author found meaning in a small prison cell by choice.
We too choose each day. Let your heart guide you and you will find the Truth.
Blessings to you.
Thank you Lee

Marianne Williamson is a best-selling author, a world-renowned teacher, and one of the most important spiritual voices of our time. In Tears to Triumph, she argues that we - as a culture and as individuals - have learned to avoid facing pain. By doing so we are neglecting the spiritual work of healing. Instead of allowing ourselves to embrace our hurt, we numb it, medicate it, dismiss it, or otherwise divert our attention so that we never have to face it.

On July 1-3, 2011, Marianne Williamson taught a workshop on A Course in Miracles in Los Angeles, California. The topic of the weekend was how miracles - shifts in thinking from fear to love - make all the difference in how we live and how we feel. Learning to think differently - to stand psychologically and emotionally on a different ground of being - is the spiritual journey from anxiety to inner peace.

It's one thing to hear a life-changing truth or to have a conceptual grasp on spiritual wisdom. But it’s another thing to "walk the walk" - or to put into practice the good advice we've been given. What does it mean to walk the walk in our everyday lives? According to Pema Chödrön, it means being down-to-earth, genuine, and perhaps most importantly, it means engaging in the teachings in order to actively confront anything and everything we’ve heretofore rejected in our attempts to find happiness.

I am never disappointed listening to Pema, her gentle , wise yet realistic way of expressing herself is easy and comforting. I have listened and read what she shares for about 12 years.
She has no need for glamour or worship . Pema is a woman that Walks the walk.
