From his rapid-fire stand-up comedy riffs to his breakout role in Mork & Mindy and his Academy Award-winning performance in Good Will Hunting, Robin Williams was a singularly innovative and beloved entertainer. He often came across as a man possessed, holding forth on culture and politics while mixing in personal revelations - all with mercurial, tongue-twisting intensity as he inhabited and shed one character after another with lightning speed. But as Dave Itzkoff shows in this revelatory biography, Williams’ comic brilliance masked a deep well of conflicting emotions and self-doubt.

The author lost all my credibility when he started bantering about god, jesus and the bible. I am returning this book. When the author takes Pascal's wager, I find myself having a hard time continuing to follow this book. Peterson is a very smart man, but I sense he does not want to take a risk in alienating himself against his christian followers.

From bloodthirsty conquest to exotic romance, stereotypes of Spain abound. This new volume by distinguished historian Stanley G. Payne draws on his half-century of experience to offer a balanced, broadly chronological survey of Spanish history from the Visigoths to the present. Who were the first “Spaniards”? Is Spain a fully Western country? Was Spanish liberalism a failure? Examining Spain's unique role in the larger history of Western Europe, Payne reinterprets key aspects of the country's history.

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

The format is horrible. No need to repeat "New rule" every 30 seconds.

What was most disappointing about Bill Maher’s story?

his arrogance. I agree completely with his views, but his cockiness is unbearable.

How could the performance have been better?

Don't say "New rule" every 30 seconds.

Just like the Pareto equation, this book will change your life even if you apply 20% of its contents to your life. Some of it you may not be able to do because of your career or goals. Some of it will require a very open mind, but I can reassure you that even at that 20% you will change your life to a better one. Priceless.
