First, let me say there is a need for sequels to this!!!!! The story was undeniably spellbinding. I had tears near the end and I was scared for them all through the book. This story had me captivated and I was happy that I was listening at work where it is well lit. If you get this book you will enjoy it and will also want the sequels. Well Done!!!

Narrated by Blair Underwood, a sizzling standalone story of love lost and found. The mission was supposed to be simple. Infiltrate an enemy's stronghold outside Rome and eliminate its leader. For a Breed warrior as lethal as Ettore Selvaggio, aka "Savage", stealth assassinations are only one of his many coldhearted specialties. But the last thing Savage expects to find behind enemy lines - in his target's bed - is a woman he once adored.

Bayport High's Varsity cheer squad is made up of the hottest of the hot. But this A-list is dangerous in more ways than one. The Squad is actually a cover for the most highly trained group of underage government operatives the United States has ever assembled. They have the perfect cover, because, beyond herkeys and highlights, no one expects anything from a cheerleader.

What did you love best about The Bridge?

I went it this thinking I might not like it since the reviews were so mixed. I had seen the movie and loved it, which is why I bought the book. It touched my heart and had me in tears, and by the way, I am work listening to this. The entire story touched me so it is not just one thing.

What other book might you compare The Bridge to and why?

I am not good with reviews and remembering things that I like so I am not sure how to describe any other books that are possibly comparable.

Have you listened to any of January LaVoy’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

This is my first time hearing January LaVoy and I feel she did a very good job. I was able to distinguish the characters and well I was crying so yeah she got the feeling of the story with her interpretations.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Like I stated earlier, it made me cry and it made me happy and it strengthened my faith.

Any additional comments?

After this story that I enjoyed so thoroughly I will have to try more of Karen Kingsbury's books. She has a way of touching her readers and I enjoy a book that does that.

What made the experience of listening to Lethal Bayou Beauty the most enjoyable?

the antics of the "ladies". I love how loyal they are and the situations they get into. I want to talk about some of the scenes but that would give away more story and possibly spoil the surprises.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I am not sure because the main 3 are a total comical collection. I am trying to keep from laughing out loud since I listen at work.

Have you listened to any of Cassandra Campbell’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

This is the first I have listened to her and she is truly skilled. I know who is talking and that works for me.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

YES!!!

Any additional comments?

I love this author since I started with the Mudbug series, I looked for more of her books and I am pleased to say this is a great series that I will get each one.

Avery Shaw is having a bad week. First, she had to cover a story on a barricaded gunman who likes to dance naked in his window. Second, she's receiving death threats with her morning newspaper. Lastly, and most importantly, her mom keeps vetoing her outfit choices. It's all in a day's work for this hardworking, if easily distracted, reporter. Avery Shaw is hot on the trail of the story, even if it means tangling with her hot ex-boyfriend - the county sheriff - and the equally hot, if slightly shadier pawnshop owner down the street.

The story seems to be pretty good so far. I only just started the book and I am on chapter 15 of 26. My main problem is the narrator. Her cadence is totally off and she has no business narrating a story. I am not sure if I will get the rest of the series in audible. I may have to just do the kindle thing for this series. That says a great deal since I love listening to my books while I work. I wish they could re-do these with a better narrator.
