How many teens get told that they're a goddess? When her mom tells her, Persephone is sure her mother has lost her mind. It isn't until Boreas, the god of winter, tries to abduct her that she realizes her mother was telling the truth. Hades rescues her, and in order to safely bring Persephone to the Underworld he marks her as his bride. But Boreas will stop at nothing to get Persephone. Despite her growing feelings for Hades, Persephone wants to return to the living realm. Persephone must find a way to defeat Boreas and reclaim her life.

If you could sum up Persephone in three words, what would they be?

touching, magical, and it's a story you can't put down.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Hades was by far my favorite character, due to his quirky personality and his caring but cold persona.

Which scene was your favorite?

I love the book from beginning to end. It's hard to pick a favorite part because everything was so well written.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I listened and read this book in one sitting. I did it with all Kaitlin's books. Every one of her stories is too captivating to put down.

Any additional comments?

I would recommend this series to anyone who loves mythology or a quick read. This is one of my favorite series I've ever stumbled upon.

Captured and tortured beyond the limits of her resolve, Persephone must find the power to stand against Zeus. But will she be strong enough? Persephone never thought of herself as dangerous, but there's a reason gods never marry for love. A being with the power to destroy all of creation shouldn't place more value in one individual than the rest of the planet. But Hades...Hades would break the world for her. To save the world and stop both Hades and Zeus, Persephone must make a difficult choice. One that may cost her everything.

MUST READ, BREATHTAKING

Who was your favorite character and why?

Hades's wittiness, ever lasting love, and slightly aggressiveness makes him my favorite character throughout the whole series. His love for Persephone is beyond touching and it makes people envious of how perfect they are for each other.

What does Kaitlin Bevis bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

The way she reads the book brings the characters to life. She gives them character and sass.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes

Any additional comments?

Once you start this series there's no stopping. It's an amazing book and the characters are all well developed! 10 out 10!
