I cannot stress this enough - THIS IS NOT A STANDARD FLUFFY ROMANCE - these shifter stories have bite.

I loved the audio so much for this one. I'll be honest I did not originally love this story as much as the first two, because of the enforced separation, but I practically squealed over it while listening... and it has since become one of my audio favorites.

When a special challenge is called, it means another separation between Jin and Logan, which takes a toll on everyone, before they are happily reunited. There are lots of changes that happen in Honored Vow, which will change the Tribe of Mafdet in ways they could never have imagined, leading to action sequences that will keep you on the edge of your seat.

Warning: While the first two books in the series were at times brutal, Honored Vow has brutal moments and then veers over to downright VIOLENT. Jeff Gelder's narration pushed me to love this despite the violence, so...KUDOS TO YOU, JEFF, because you killed this!

Look Mary Calmes just does it for me. Even the scratch your head and wonder what's going on moments...it all just works for me.

This is super enjoyable and has been included in my auto re-listen rotation. I don't think fans of the series will be disappointed. I LOVE THIS SERIES! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

When their home is invaded by a dangerous new kind of alien slaver, they strike out into the jungle. He depends on them for food, protection, a direction to walk in. He's helpless even for shelter and warmth. Thankfully, his alien lovers seem devoted, but why?

I'm not going to lie, I'm salty about where we are left in the end - it's sort of a cliffhanger. We end with Carter, Siel, and Pykh safe and well cared for and together, for now, but with Carter only just about to react to what an Omega is and [spoilers removed].

If you're looking for a SciFi/Fantasy story with multiple POV, some action, heat, and humor, with plenty of nail biting moments and a HFN ending with excellent narration, you should definitely consider picking this up.

Joel Leslie is amazing and makes this a real treat to listen to.

My name is Mercedes Athena Thompson Hauptman, and I am a car mechanic. And a coyote shape-shifter. And the mate of the Alpha of the Columbia Basin werewolf pack. Even so, none of that would have gotten me into trouble if, a few months ago, I hadn’t stood upon a bridge and taken responsibility for the safety of the citizens who live in our territory. It seemed like the thing to do at the time. It should have only involved hunting down killer goblins, zombie goats, and an occasional troll. Instead, our home was viewed as neutral ground.

Storm Cursed pulls together threads that seemed, until now, to be entirely unrelated to events that have happened over the last few installments. All those elements are now brought to light so Mercy, and the pack, can see the much bigger picture, and it is once again up to Mercy to save the day.

Storm Cursed also hints at things to come, and none of them seem to be something a coyote should get involved with. My only complaint with the story is I felt the ending too rushed. The meeting between the Grey Lords and the humans occurs in a couple paragraphs, off page, and that just wasn't enough for me. However, overall I enjoyed this thoroughly.

I both read and listened to this and, once again, the narration is brilliant. Lorelei King is wonderful!

Paranormal urban fantasy with some romantic elements, single POV, off-page sex, with an end to this installment's mystery, but an open door for the series to continue.

In the military, catastrophe was his specialty. Five months out of the service, Brann is still finding his way, so a new assignment might be just what he needs. Unless it includes two things sure to make a seasoned, battle-trained veteran nervous: life in a small town, and playing caregiver to two little girls.

Single POV, with no cheating, plenty of heat later in the story, a bit of a mystery to play out, and a very happy ending. I loved it.

Bottom line - I love alpha men who aren't abusive, and this story gave me what I love in spades. While there is some inconsistency and the plot runs around some, I really just sat back and enjoyed Aiden Snow's beautiful performance.

Snow's voice is rough and gravelly, deep and sexy, emotion-filled goodness and it serves A.E. Via's over the top alpha men perfectly. I know, without any doubt, that this series on audio is going to go into my re-listen catalogue.

Dual POV romance with plenty of steamy hot sex, some humor, lots of action, some angst*, and a very happy ending.

Series Recommended.

Book two in the Thomas Elkin series. When some lines blur, others become crystal clear. Absolutely smitten, Thomas Elkin and Cooper Jones have decided they're prepared to give a relationship a try. What they're not prepared for is the reaction from their families, who try to force them apart. Both men are about to learn that there are lines that define us. Sometimes the lines blur, sometimes the lines become crystal clear.

I love this series more every time I read it. Told again (mainly) from Tom's single POV (though Cooper does get his own chapter at the end 😘), this contemporary romance features an age gap that doesn't really matter, plenty of steamy scenes, some light, low angst, and a wonderful happy for now ending.

I can hardly wait for book 3: Sense of Place to release on audio!

Highly recommended!

Heartfelt and heartwarming are two words I would not normally associate with Chelsea Handler, but as she takes the audience through some of her most painful past moments, thankfully using plenty of humor along the way, I found myself absolutely enraptured. This was really vulnerable of Handler to put herself on display in this particular way and it resonated and turned on a light to some of my own behaviors. Overall very well done and absolutely worth a listen. 🎧

The dual third-person POV works so well, the themes of found family, Asian culture, and the progression of Simon and Hong-Wei's relationship is on point...everything just works so well and flows so easily, and is so beautifully performed by Iggy Toma, that I just absolutely loved this. Strong character voices, a great pace, his timing on fire, Toma infuses his performance with humor and passion.

I loved it, would absolutely recommend listening to it, and will definitely be adding it to my re-listen list.
