Every one of them are oblivious to all but their own needs. They act as if he is there to serve their whims and he puts up with it because he's hiding behind a wall of ice. His emotions are sealed behind it. They act like he's deliberately misleading and lying to them but none of them persue it when he tells them not to worry or later. It's like they don't know how to press for more information.

I like the story but his so-called friends are all parasites. Occasionally they show a glimmer of hope but mostly they are petulant children.

The quality of performance continues to be excellent and the editorial decision to minimize dinging can only be said to be a boon. The story has gotten better and more interesting with less time spent taken up by repeating the same information again and again, eg the stats of humans, dwarves etc.

Thoroughly enjoyable listen, interesting story and wonderful Narration. Nick Podehl does a superb job..
Only problem is the multiple dings and such that occur. I understand the style choice but hearing 15 dings in a row at one point was super annoying.
