The Sorceress Nicci, the Wizard Nathan Rahl, and the young swordsman Bannon remain in the legendary city of Ildakar after a great internal revolt has freed the slaves and brought down the powerful wizards council. But as he fled the city, capricious Wizard Commander Maxim dissolved the petrification spell that had turned to stone the invading army of General Utros fifteen centuries earlier. Now, hundreds of thousands of half-stone soldiers from the ancient past have awakened, led by one of the greatest enemy commanders in history.

This book was fantastic Christina Traister makes the story live especially with her changes of voices for each character. Haven’t read or listen to TG for a long time and was immediately transported back to Richard’s adventures it was especially good the way TG brings in prior events with Richard to bolster the current story line for Nicci and the others. Look forward to the next book though I have loved the audible. Congrats to both TG and Christina. TG be sure to keep Christina on board. Thanks again

Shroud of Eternity picks up where Terry Goodkind's New York Times bestseller Death's Mistress left off, promising a thrilling brew of bloodshed, sex, deception, and sorcery. The formidable sorceress Nicci and her companions - the newly powerless Nathan and the youthful Bannon - set out on another quest after driving ruthless Norukai slavers out of Renda Bay. Their mission: restore Nathan's magic and, for Nicci, save the world.

I have loved TG books for over 10 years. i stopped reading about Richard some yrs ago and when i happened to pick up the 3rd volume of the Nicci Chronicles i decided to give this series a try. I thought Christina Traister did a fantastic job with the story, the interp of the story. I enjoyed the story though i thought it was slow in parts. i almost stopped listening in after the 6 or 7 chapters, but knew with my history of reading not listening to TG's many books on Richard i should continue and i am glad i did. TG's descriptions and details are what made me go back these many years ago and purchase volumes 1 and 2 of his first books on Richard after i had read 2 chapters of his 3rd book on Richard's exploits. I carried and read them around Europe on my two week trip and continued the series after i returned to the states. I am glad i continued listening to this Book 1 and have just purchased volume 2&3 on audible. for tuture listeners, press on it will be worth ur efforts and patience.

Four years ago, LAPD detective Harry Bosch was on a movie set, asking questions about the murder of a young production assistant, when an armored car arrived with $2 million cash for use in a heist scene. In a life-imitates-art firestorm, a gang of masked men converged on the delivery and robbed the armored car with guns blazing. The crime was never resolved, and the young woman's murder was in the stack of unsolved-case files Bosch carried home the night he left the LAPD.

Earlier we heard wonderful references to Art Pepper and others in the Jazz world of HB, but if we were inexperienced and unfamilar, as I was 8 months ago, we had to go find the music, listen and then gain appreciation for the art form and specifically understand why MC and Bosch love of Jazz and the performers of the craft, so much. The subtle additions of the music between chapters, especially Art Pepper, added so much to a great story and book. Well done Michael. Speaking of crafts, a big cheer to Lou Cariou for his reading style and interps of the story.

outstanding...MC has a gift of story telling, creator of intrigue and suspense, and a web master second to none. MC and his Bosch series fill my needs for great well written stories. He joins Lee Child, Mark Greaney, Robert Crais, Steve Berry and TE Woods as my favorites on Audible Books.
I listen to MC's Bosch books and think how can he (MC) continue to be so creative. I started with the older more recent Bosch stories after i saw the TV series and have finally started at book 1 and moved forward. i have enjoyed everyone. My day is not complete unless i have listened to Bosch. by the way the people chosen for the TV series are wonderful. when i listen to any of the book i visualize the actors in the TV series.
Dick Hill does a wonderful job in reading the book and creates visual images for each part of the story that make the book come alive. On to book 5 if i can find it on audible.

For LAPD homicide cop Harry Bosch - hero, maverick, nighthawk - the body in the drainpipe at Mulholland Dam is more than another anonymous statistic. This one is personal. The dead man, Billy Meadows, was a fellow Vietnam "tunnel rat" who fought side by side with him in a nightmare underground war that brought them to the depths of hell.

Have listened to many Bosch books and watched the TV series. i love Bosch and MC writing style. Interesting note: I re watched Steve McQueen in Bullitt last week and was drawn to the similarity in the attitude and detective approaches by Bulitt and Bosch.
I also love MC's vivid descriptions and attention to detail his books. This was especially true with Chapters 25 & 26 of this adventure. MC's ability to make a reader or listener (in my case) visualize what is occurring in the tunnel. As the years have progressed a person can see, hear and read how MC's writing skills have grown and developed. Truly a gift for all of us. Dick Hill does a good job as the narrator also. Looking forward to hearing Black Ice. jeff lantz
