The message of Created for Connection is simple: Forget about learning how to argue better, analyzing your early childhood, or making grand romantic gestures. Instead, get to the emotional underpinnings of your relationship by recognizing that you are attached to and dependent on your partner in much the same way that a child is on a parent and we are on the Heavenly Father for nurturing, soothing, and protection.

This book made me think about things that I currently do and things that I have done in the past. It showed me the correlations between what we want and how to achieve them. As I listened to the audio book I also had the hand written one with me. As Hal suggested I highlighted what I thought was important and I wanted to remember or look back on. The narration of the book was different than the written book in that it gave thoughts and insights that were not in the written book. At first I did not like this, but I came to enjoy it as the audio went on because it give that look at information that can not be seen between the lines and left out texts that some might consider unimportant. For me everything is important so I loved it all.

Thank you Hal for your insights and advice on how to achieve a more fulfilling and rewarding life.

I read this book because it was suggested by a few bloggers that I follow for personal development. I am in a place in my life that I felt this book could help me and it did. I recommend this book to anyone that is looking for answered from within. Elizabeth Gilbert makes your think about what you may want in life by merely speaking about her life and what inspired her and her own creative and personal growth.
