James Allen's most famous work, "As a Man Thinketh," was originally published in 1902. It is now considered a classic self-help book. Its underlying premise is that noble thoughts make a noble person, while lowly thoughts make a miserable person. Allen's books illustrate the use of the power of thought to increase personal capabilities. Although he never achieved great fame or wealth, his works continue to influence people around the world, including the New Thought movement.

This one is my fault for not listening to the sample, this may just be the worst narration I’ve ever heard on an audiobook. The energy is less than if i were to have auto-dictation software in a robo voice. #Guidetolife #tagsgiving #sweepstakes

Our President has had so many forces working against him the entire campaign and through this administration. He continues to fulfill promises, and not be phased by his opposition. Doesn't matter your personal political beliefs, the man could've gone the easy route and stuck to what he was good at.

He chose politics, with no experience and is proving that he is effective as a leader and unafraid of taking on huge tasks and goals.

From a personal development standpoint, this gives me inspiration to get up, dust myself off and power through the obstacles in my life.

Thank You Mr. President 🇺🇸

You said you'd listen to your favorite narrators read anything: Well, this ambrosial new audiobook brings together an acclaimed cast of narrators to read aloud the menus of some of our favorite local restaurants here at Audible headquarters in Newark, New Jersey, as only they know how. You haven't truly lived, or dined, until you've heard Cassandra Campbell capture the emotional nuances of Newark's best Indian-inflected burgers or let Nick Podehl extol the virtues of the pear arugula salad and then seductively steer you toward a plate of creamy mushroom linguini.

After completing this short "book" i thought, "what you’ve just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul."

At once wildly original and stuffed with irresistible nostalgia, Ready Player One is a spectacularly genre-busting, ambitious, and charming debut—part quest novel, part love story, and part virtual space opera set in a universe where spell-slinging mages battle giant Japanese robots, entire planets are inspired by Blade Runner, and flying DeLoreans achieve light speed.

I was young when Shadows of the Empire was released back in the late 90's, I read the junior novelization of this title. I really enjoyed it as I had been curious as to what happened between TESB and ROTJ.

I was happy with the performance and production of this audiobook but disappointed with the feel of this book being abridged, the story felt to fast-paced; jumping from one action scene to another without giving the listener a chance to breath and absorb the story and its characters.

I got this book on sale, it was entertaining, the narrator was great. I will be thinking twice before purchasing another abridged title.

WOW! There is so much to like about this gripping audiobook. First off the narration is done really well, William LeRoy has so much energy. I don't usually leave written reviews but this book has really done a solid job in illustrating how so many forces are working against POTUS. I see it everyday in the MSM and how despised he is on both sides Dem and Repub. This book goes into the many ways sabotage started before he even had the Republican nomination. It goes into detail about the dark money groups and deep state's role in trying to make this President and his agenda dead on arrival.

You do not have to like this President to understand that the content in this book is real, has happened and is continuing to occur. It's a great redpill for anyone who is truly curious as to the reach, intent and power of the swamp and their donors.

Our democracy is very much under attack and the election of President Trump is a threat to those who seek to undermine the US Constitution. I hope to see more books like this be released. It's about time someone shine a light on what the #fakenews does not want you to know about, and what they refuse to give unbiased coverage to. #resilience #tagsgiving #sweepstakes

Demetri's first literary foray features longer-form essays and conceptual pieces (such as Protagonists' Hospital, a melodrama about the clinic doctors who treat only the flesh wounds and minor head scratches of Hollywood action heroes), as well as his trademark charts, doodles, drawings, one-liners, and lists (i.e., the world views of optimists, pessimists and contortionists), Martin's material is varied, but his unique voice and brilliant mind will keep listeners in stitches from beginning to end.

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

I would not recommend this book because the format of audiobook makes this book hard to follow. I think Demetri is at his best when he has the benefit of having a visual aid, this book drags on and is a tough listen. I really want to like it because I like everything else Demetri puts out.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

Demetri has a signature tone when he speaks but unfortunately he maintains that tone throughout the audiobook and it becomes very monotone. It is a short book but being that its so boring it takes a lot of effort and persistence to complete. I've finished 12hr and 8hr books in between this one which is only 4hrs.

Would you be willing to try another one of Demetri Martin’s performances?

I don't think so. Books, yes; Stand-up, yes; Audiobook, no.

Do you think This Is an AudioBook needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

Please no.

Elsie Bovary is a cow, and a pretty happy one at that - her long, lazy days are spent eating, napping, and chatting with her best friend, Mallory. One night, Elsie and Mallory sneak out of their pasture; but while Mallory is interested in flirting with the neighboring bulls, Elsie finds herself drawn to the farmhouse. Through the window, she sees the farmer's family gathered around a bright Box God - and what the Box God reveals about something called an "industrial meat farm" shakes Elsie's understanding of her world.
