My first thought is “wow”.

It’s a beautiful story of a mother’s love and devotion to her child. A story of a marriage gone awry and the feeling a mother gets of being needed, wanted, for just being a woman. It’s about resentment to the “other woman” and your ex for finding happiness again.

It’s a story of tragedy, layers deep, affecting so many. It’s loss and love, hope and hopelessness. It’s a story of miracles and belief.

This is the first I’ve read by this author and I wasn’t expecting the gut wrenching and anxiety provoking feelings. My heart hurt and I found myself gasping and tearing up (yes tissues are needed). The epilogue, although painful, did provide peace.

The narrator did a wonderful job telling a mother’s story. She emoted everything that the words conveyed.

It was heartbreakingly beautiful.

In 1914, the war which was to have been wrapped up by Christmas had - in reality - only just begun, as all sides entrenched themselves deeper into the Great War. Christmas Eve, 1914 follows one company of British officers as they rotate forward to spend their Christmas on the front lines, a mere 80 yards from the German guns. Upper- and working-class men and boys are thrown together into one trench and struggle to survive.

This is a great Christmas novella. Historical and in the true spirit of Christmas. Somewhat of a miracle considering the setting.

I love that it was narrated by many so that it was easier to sort out who was speaking and the addition of sound effects.’was great. I really felt like I was listening to a play.

Really tough topic. Wonderful characters. Great narrator.

The topic really hits home to me. It’s a test and I stand strong. The strength Skye and Holder demonstrate was nothing short of amazing. They had their moments and they earned them. Their support of each other was amazing. Many do not have that support. I did not. And their maturity is far beyond their years. It seems that’s the nature of the test.

Despite the difficult topic, this book was amazing and the narrator made it come to life. She lived the anguish and pain.

First, listening to Shane East narrate is so sexy!

I’m enjoying the books by this author, whom I only recently discovered.

The connection, the chemistry was undeniable. Doing the right thing was not easy. Succumbing to desire was inevitable and wonderful. Betrayal, perceived and actual, is gut wrenching. Finding the way back, trusting, believing, is slow and difficult.

The conclusion, ❤️❤️❤️❤️.

It all started with a mysterious blue note sewn into a wedding dress. Something blue. I’d gone to sell my own unworn bridal gown at a vintage clothing store. That’s when I found another bride’s “something old.” Stitched into the lining of a fabulously feathered design was the loveliest message I’d ever read: Thank you for making all of my dreams come true. The name embossed on the blue stationery: Reed Eastwood, obviously the most romantic man who ever lived. I also discovered he’s the most gorgeous. If only my true-love fantasies had stopped there.

I really enjoyed this book. The characters had an amusing animosity with underlying sexual tension that made for great humor.

Their relationship is not easy with seemingly insurmountable fear and loss at the heart of things. Iris is s master manipulator from moment one and I loved her. Charlotte is eccentric and impulsive and absolutely endearing. She’s says what she’s thinking and may be the worst liar ever. (Their meeting will have you 🤣🤣🤣). Reed is definitely complicated and tough to get to know. But Charlotte doesn’t give up until she’s found the heart of the man.

There are so many great moments that had me laughing. But their journey in love, self-discovery, conquering of fears takes them to church, across the country and across the ocean. Their journey brings them together...finally. And the epilogue. Well let me say that I wasn’t sure whether my heart would break or if it was so full it might burst. Their love was truly beautiful.

Love these narrators.

Their love affair began intensely and passionately. Princess Adeline and Josh Jameson knew any future together was impossible - her status as a princess and his standing as a Hollywood heartthrob dictated that. But the heights of pleasure they could take each other to were wildly unanticipated by them both. But then a cruel turn of events rips their worlds apart, and Adeline is more bound than ever by the protocol and expectations her title commands.

I loved every moment of Adeline and Josh’s love story. There were so many twists and turns, lies and sabotage, and ultimately revelations that cut deep. But those discoveries led to the happiest thing of all. Acceptance, freedom, happiness, and most important, love.

His True Queen is the conclusion to a stunning story spanning generations of the Royal family and those closest to the Sovereign dynasty and the smoke and mirrors of secrets buried deep. It was the story of one woman who wanted none of what she was born into, never anticipated the tragedy she would endure that led to her taking the throne as Queen of England, and dared not hope of finding that soul deep love that her American Boy found in His True Queen.

This was an audio re-read and I loved it.

There are a million reasons why Miles Hart isn't the man I should date but allow me to enumerate the top three: He's friends with my brother; he's a single dad; and he's a sexy, in-demand rock star. He might as well wear an off-limits, totally unavailable, and don't-even-attempt-to-ride-this-ride sign. And there's one more little itty-bitty thing - he's never asked me on a date. That is, until he asks me to be his plus-one when his band plays at his high school reunion. It shouldn't be a big deal. After all, we're just friends, and no one is giving us our own hashtag. Except me....

It's so easy being best friends with a gorgeous, talented, charming guy. Said no woman ever. Except me. My friendship with Miller is a sure thing - he’s my plus one, my emergency contact, and my shoulder to lean on. He’s also been by my side helping me raise one helluva awesome kid who’s the center of my world. Nothing will change our easy breezy friendship. Until I have the bright idea to convince him to start a new band with me. Trouble is, our sizzling chemistry in the recording studio is getting harder to ignore, no matter how risky it might be.

This series is so much fun to read, especially in audio. The chemistry between Miller and Ally is 🔥🔥🔥when they sing together.

Miller is a man-child who is charming and caring. He’s a great friend, mentor to his “brother”, and wonderful with kids. He’s the fun and heart of the family. He’s also the heart of the Hartbreakers.

Ally is her niece’s guardian and truly a wonderful mom. She’s got a great support system in Miller, her brother and his wife.

Friendship means a lot to them so taking the leap to follow the spark is far more impulsive than they want, but they are cautiously combustible. Yeah, I know. They are cautious until alone and then...fireworks!!

They find their way and is sweet and romantic and perfect!!

That smoking hot one-night stand with a former rock star? Turns out, he's my son's new teacher. Oops. But I didn't know that the night I met Campbell. All I knew was he played my body the same way he played a guitar - like he owned it. My libido is still high-fiving me after being self-served for too many years, and we're both ready for another night or two of fun, especially since we don't just have chemistry in bed - we connect over everything. That is, until I learn he's the man who'll be coming to my house twice a week to teach my son the best music lessons money can buy.
