An incredible recording of Joan Crawford reading her book, My Way of Life. Originally recorded in 1973, it was recently remastered from the original LP records. Hear the unabridged edition performed by the one and only Joan Crawford.

You can become an icon without having icon c demands, traits, and standers. Though, in the case of the late, but ever lovely, Joan Crawford, she took it to the fanatical extreme without a hint of subtlety; no sir, she took it to the wildest ends the way she widens her eyes to the camera. Her charisma is unquestionable, her delivery is pure Prima Donna, and you can tell she enjoys every part of it.

Blaming rap music & video games as satanic influences is corny & cheap.
Can't deny that some points are accurate, but the author, and narrator are far too angry & serious, it almost comical.

The JT LeRoy scandal is a story of our times. In January 2006, the New York Times unmasked Savannah Knoop as the face of the mysterious author JT LeRoy. A media frenzy ensued as JT's fans, mentors, and readers came to terms with the fact that the gay-male-ex-truck-stop-prostitute-turned literary-wunderkind was really a girl from San Francisco, whose sister-in-law wrote the books.

I followed the books years ago. Discovering the scandal shocked me, but I still gave Laura an excuse.
Now, after this book, excusing her is nothing short of hypocrisy. The performance was engaging, but the trail of shattered trust among her fans, her collaborators, etc... can never be forgiven.
