First time reading a Angie Fox novel and the first time listening to narrator Tavia Gilbert. Fun book but the narrator was excellent. Tavia made the book so fun to listen and I actually did my treadmill twice a day just to listen to her read the story. Not many narrators can capture my attention like that. Already bought book 2 in series to continue listening to this fun series.

What did you love best about I'm Traveling Alone?

The twists that lead to the ending. The story concept was fresh and very good.

What did you like best about this story?

The dynamics between the two main characters and how their paths cross.

Have you listened to any of Laura Paton’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Nope this was the first time and I thought she did a good job separating character voices.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

No but many "aha" moments.

Any additional comments?

If you like Harry Hole series you will like this one a lot.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes. This author really knows how to build a character and run with it.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Madelyn was great but then Celeste was surprising along with Bonnie.

Have you listened to any of Caroline Lee’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

yes and she does a very good job with kid voices sounding bratty. Kinda reminded me of mine when they were little.

Who was the most memorable character of Big Little Lies and why?

Ziggy. Just a truly wonderful little gentleman at such a young age.

Any additional comments?

I suggest you listen to The Husband's Secret to get a feel for the narrator's voice and the book is good.

Wow, I really enjoyed this book!

Would you listen to Denton Little's Deathdate again? Why?

Yes. The story line was great. The concept is based a little on that movie "Logan's Run" from the 80s. It has some pretty funny and light moments in it. Although the story is about a 17 year old, I thought it appealed to readers of all ages and I am over 50.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Denton and his best friend. This two are just quite funny together along with the sister Veronica. Oh and also the grandpa has some great lines.

What does Lance Rubin bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Lance did a great job reading his own book. He knew how he wanted his characters to sound and just where in their talking to each other to emphasize a point.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I thought the book was so good that I recommended to my husband that he should listen to it too and he will.

Any additional comments?

Only that if you are like murder/fantasy mysteries like I do (Dean Koontz, Jo Nesbo, James Butcher, Charlaine Harris) then this will be a good different direction book to try.

Is there anything you would change about this book?

No. The story-line was really different. Hard for me to understand "Fan Fiction Writing". However, maybe it is because I am over 50 years old and not understanding the younger generation?? Also, I thought a little cheesy using the Harry Potter story to create the Simon and Baz fiction story-line. The author should have created her own fan fiction world.

Would you be willing to try another book from Rainbow Rowell? Why or why not?

No since I have such mixed feelings about this book.

What does Rebecca Lowman and Maxwell Caulfield bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I thought the readers were fine.

Did Fangirl inspire you to do anything?

I would be lying if I said yes.

Wow, Interesting

What did you love best about The Golem and the Jinni?

Very different from what I usually read.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Golem and the Jinni?

The understanding of how the two main characters are entwined.

Which character – as performed by George Guidall – was your favorite?

Golem and Jinni

If you could rename The Golem and the Jinni, what would you call it?

same

Any additional comments?

Slow beginning for me, however, the story pulls you in and you just keep listening because then you start to wonder "how in the world is this going to end?". Definitely has an "aha" moment. I enjoyed it and now my husband is listening to it.
