I purchased on the great $4.95 sale to introduce new series. What a bargain for laughter that many times creeps up on you when least expected. I had to put a hand over my mouth to stop the bark out loud laughter in public.
This is a simple story of new beginnings for a lot of characters, hence the title. When the kids were introduced, they spit out such laughable stuff I had to re listen to it as it was so funny!
Author’s introduction on book 2 explains to her fans, that this is not Stephanie Plum, and go with the laughter and romance.
I love this author’s Fox and O’Hare series narrated by the great Scott Brick. Nothing like having a GO Bag with a rocket launcher your dad supplied. Check it out if you are Stephanie Plum fan.
This is a new narrator for me, but I have a feeling she has an AKA narrator name as it seems very familiar. She has potential for me as I buy mostly based on a narrator voice. EG Angela Dawe, Karen White, Kathleen Early and January LaVoy are my current faves.

I love all of Sandra Browns books and this book was narrated by my new fave Ms LaVoy, see her in Mary Higgins Clark, I’ve Got My Eyes On You. Her narrations of mystery writer Marcia Clark is spot on. Ms LaVoy has a full range and her male voice is great. She can interpret an author’s work very well as she did in this one. I purchased as I got author and narrator for the price of a credit. It doesn’t get better than that! Note: I do use 1.25x speed to match the author’s intent.
This story is from 1982 and written of those times eg women’s liberation movement. Since Ms Brown started her writing career as a core romance writer, this story is a classic representation of her earlier work, hence some of the other reviewers comments.
If you are looking for a current great Ms Brown book, check out my faves, Mean Streak read by the fabulous Jonathan Davis, Smoke Screen and Lethal by the great Victor Slezak.

I purchased on 2 for 1 credit, what a deal, due to narrator Ms LaVoy of whom I am a new fan. I do use the 1.25x speed to match the author’s intent.
Ms LaVoy is very talented and makes a good story great as she brings to life all the characters in the tale. See Mary Higgins Clark, I’ve Got My Eyes on You. (Jamie’s character will steal your heart and I will listen again just to catch his role as narrator did such a great job.) Her narration of Marcia Clark’s Rachel Knight series is great and not to be missed.
This is two stories in 1, so if you don’t like that type of format, then this may not be for you. Three young college ladies are thrown together and bond not due to true friendship but out of circumstances. If you had or have experienced that type of situation, then this story may seem so familiar to you. Author captures the essence of young college life from 3 points of view, and author evokes emotions as a good author should as each of our young ladies experiences their awkward freshman year away from home. Author proceeds to take back that precious time so to speak when our 3 ladies are adults! Wow, does author evoke strong emotions for and against our 3 ladies, I’ll say!!!

Great performance from narrator Ms Early. I do listen at 1.25x speed to match the author’s intent. I listened to this story narrated by Phil Gigante, years ago and he did a good job, but this version is so much better. Not sure if it was because this book did not have the horrific terror e.g. Undone and TripTych which kept me up at nights or the fact that Ms Early has all the character voices down spot on. My fave, Amanda when she toughens Will up!
Don’t get me wrong, I like this author as she is GOOD and she has subtle humor not to be missed, but I in a few of her books, named above, I was so scared after listening to the good story, I had to stop buying her books. This book, has none of that sleepless terror! If you read out of order like I do, then go back and buy an earlier book, you will get AH HA moments, which reminds us that this author plots out her stories far in advance, eg #2, 5, 6 which are very much tied together. All 3 are great stories not to be missed. If you want to be entertained by a good author, then these 3 books will do the trick.

I do use the 1.25x speed to match the author’s intent. I do purchase by narrator first unless I am a long time fan of an author. Eg Sandra Brown, Julie James, Rachel Gibson
This story came to life and was made better by Ms Dawe’s talent to portray our hero and heroine spot on.
Author used soul connected conversations with vivid portraits of emotions and surroundings for this story of hope and new beginnings. Well read people will enjoy the tale as the editing is very good, and it’s worthy of a book club.
I see this author has tried a number of different narrators to showcase her work, and l am thrilled she selected Ms Dawe to narrate this story. Well done!
I will check out a fave narrator, Karen White’s, read of this author, Beachcombers. Ms White does the Julie James FBI/US Attorney series, GREAT

I purchased this book due to wonderful narrator Angela Dawe. The self published author’s own summery was great, however the read did not match the synopsis's in it’s delivery. If you are a fan of this author, then try, author’s Christina Dodd for this same story line/series. Nora Roberts Dream series. These are well written and edited.
I do use the 1.25x speed to match the author’s intent and it helped, but I certainly have no provocation to go and buy books 1,2. based on how this was edited.
Of course Ms Dawe did a wonderful job of narrating this tale, which had so much potential. Her male voices are great as is her foreign accents eg any Scottish read.
Check out Hanna Howell historical romance, Murray series, books 5 & 6 to howl your head of off.
If you are a mystery fan, check out Marcia Clark’s series read by ms Dawe, 5 star reads.

This is a series, but I wouldn’t buy more from this author as this writer seems more on the spiritual side then on pure core romance. Nothing wrong with that if that’s what you are looking for. The premise was good, and our hero was great, but our female and child character just could not engage me, even if Ms Dawe put her best spin on this read.
If a fan of narrator, see Sweet Talk by Julie Garwood, it was this read I discovered narrator. Also Karen Robard’s Justice. Nora Roberts MacGregor series is Ms Dawe’s top five as with her Tiffany Snow series as these are all core romances.
See Marcia Clark mystery series Ms Dawe does, Outstanding!

This author is not for me. There’s humor but it comes way later in the mystery to overcome all the dark AA meetings, which are helpful to people, but seemed focused on a bit too much. I didn’t start at book 1, but this books’ story didn’t compel me to go back and begin the series. One reviewer said this was the best of the series so l purchased due to the reader Joe Barrett. He narrates the Brian Haig’s Sean Drummond series, excellent!!!
I do use the 1.25x speed to match the author’s intent.
For me, author’s type of humor eg grandmother had a black belt in House cleaning needed to open the book, instead of being so close to the discovery of the mystery killer. The beginning seemed a bit slow but you certainly got a birds eye view of Manhattan.

This is a James Dean style story, do watch the classic film Giant to appreciate the vistas painted during this book.
The is a good old fashioned who dunit story, with touches of kindness via Knuglehead aka Jack, and wild flower bouquets twined and bundled with thin blades of prairie grass.
This is not an ugly prison story, but one of learned knowledge that comes from growing up and choosing the smarter path.
If you are a fan of this author, don’t miss author Rachel Gibson stories read by Ms Early, I own all. She also reads author Karin Slaughter books, much more graphic and intense, and in some books, must have a strong stomach or you will not be able to sleep at night. This re recording with Ms Early as the narrator was great as she captures what author intended in this mystery. I have read a few of this author’s books eg Triptych, Undone and could not sleep for days, so watch which story you select!
This story has the least terrorizing descriptions so if you want to try this author, then this one is great.
All the short stories in Will Trent series are great ,no gore.

Criminal is my fave as that features Amanda, some gore but not too graphic This one is Faith/Evelyn story and a definite re listen story.
Love the author introduction as she explains herself and the progression of her writing.
Not nuts about Angie character, so will wait for reviews on her story.
In this story loverd Jeramy’s character:
Ate His weight in Macaroni and cheese everyday!
This story Has lots of humor, but must watch for it.
Early is Karin voice and narrates as author intended. Hence the very smart decision to re record earlier stories using this narrator.
