Good daily deal, $3.95 as it takes you on an adventure through the highlands, land of single malts.
I do use the 1.25x speed to match the author’s intent.
This is entertaining, while explaining the rich secrets of making single malt whisky.
Reader is new to me, and if you like the great Emma Thompson’s reading voice, then you will appreciate this readers cadence as she has the same tones and English dialect.

Marilyn Monroe, the ultimate goddess of the silver screen, is at the peak of her popularity, internationally famous, universally admired by women and desired by men. But she’s also famously insecure and temperamental and is being pilloried in the press for delaying the production of Something’s Got to Give. When the head of Twentieth Century Fox threatens to cancel her contract, Monroe hires “PI to the stars” Nathan Heller to tap her phones and record calls that might affect legal action. Less than three months later, Monroe is dead from an overdose....

Great Daily deal. A must buy if you have any issues YOU want to face, but have not!
Easy material, well worth the listen, and the download is a good visual to actually help you. Get started or boost you to the next level you want in your life.
I certainly am not a prude, and I can swear with the best of them, but as a member of Toastmasters International, the profuse use of profanity was a bit distracting as author used it to reach out to her core audience of Millennials. There are great speakers and comedians who don’t rely on so much profanity. I am fairly confident author will improve her delivery just as she has done with the aspects in her life as demonstrated in this book.

This is a long entertaining story so if you like ‘em short and sweet, this isn’t one of them. This was one of author’s earlier good reads and worth the gold credit.
The reader has a good range but her male voice needs a deeper tone. This is my 1st exposure to reader, and she was good for female characters but as l buy readers for great male voices. Eg Angela Dawe. I will not seek this reader out unless she happens to be on sale or reads a classic l have been waiting to be recorded. She may have already deepened her Voice as l review. I will double check it as she has potential.
If you liked Sandra Browns Witness, then you may enjoy this classic.

Great daily deal and read by a good seasoned reader. I am a fan of this performer in major motion pictures.
As one reviewer stated, this book is advanced material, but if you listen at 1.25x speed for content, you can appreciate the thinking and how it relates to our daily lives and interactions. The key word is integrity that must be kept underneath each of the principles presented.
If you are a glass half empty type person, then this material maybe more difficult for you to relate to or appreciate.
If you are a glass half full type person, then this material can be used to further your thinking as long as this material is tempered with lots of integrity.

If you are into Sci Fi, then this book is great, make no mistake.
I am using the 1.25x speed which is helping but a listener really must be a Trekkie to really enjoy this well written story.
This is well worded and author is talented, so I’ll give it a few more chapters to be fair.

I wish I had listened to this book when I purchased it as it is pure entertainment. I am a new fan of Mr. Porter, from Flat Spin. Mr. Porter and reader Dan John Miller have similar voices so check out his reads if you enjoy Mr. Porter’s style.
If you read the top 5 reviews of this book, they say it all so very succinctly and spot on. Author’s short bio, explains this author’s talent! I only wish author’s Mexican Cartel series read by Mr. Porter were not so dark and graphic. Weak stomach on my part.
Note, I do use the 1.25x speed to match the author’s intent.

I purchased this read as my fave reader Jonathan Davis performed it. He reads lots of Sc Fi but those are not my genre. See mystery Sandra Brown’s Mean Streak, which introduced me to Mr Davis.
I love Dolphins and thought there would be more focus on them. On ch. 30 and I can’t seem to get engaged so this author or this book just reads like a military manual for me.
I do use 1.25x speed to match the author’s intent and that is helping the story move along. There’s something missing, but I can’t tell you what.

I love this story as our hero continues his witty dialogue from Highland Groom, and our heroine is no slouch either in the wit department. Pure entertainment at it’s best.
Ok, I figured out this author after 7 books, and skipping the order. This author has wit, humor, adventure and mystery in a core romance. This is not a heavy series, but pure light entertainment. Hence I skipped to book #5,6, after some of the heavier earlier adventures book1-4.
Yes, after being a Julie Garwood and Jude Deveraux fan of most all of their early career historical romance books, this author after book #1 didn’t really appeal to me.
However, when I became a loyal fan of reader Ms Dawe, I have come back to this series, for delightful entertainment. I am slowing working my way through the series, back to book 2,3 which I don’t yet have. I love the books from #5 froward as the wit and humor stand out and the heroines have spunk.
I love reader Angela Dawe for male and children’s voices, and her interpretation of this author. Her foreign accents are very good, and I buy just about any story Ms Dawe reads with a Scottish brogue. She is that good. Yes, you do have to get accustomed to her female voice style.
See her in Mystery Marcia Clark’s series for a great listen. Or Julie Garwood’s Sweet Talk, and my most fave Tiffany Snow series.
I do use 1.25x speed to match an author’s intent.
