Wonderful to learn how Nike became Nike, its struggles, its constant challenges, its in-numerous near shut downs, about its unlikely founders and about Phil Knight's genuine humane story. It was a thoroughly enjoyable listen, there were lessons learnt and there are innumerable feel good moments about this genuine human being.

Did learn a bit more about tennis organization and player quirks and finer points about why the greats are attain and maintain their amazing abilities but I mostly enjoyed the book just for its narration style and the stories David Foster Wallace has woven. Definitely a unputdownable book narrated wonderfully by Robert Petkoff.

I brought this audio book to understand the Kennedy legend from JFK's brother Bobby Kennedy's point of view, one whose news of death I had to convey to my grandfather, one of millions of Indians that admired the Kennedy's in India, while I was only 5.

The book, expertly narrated, not only brought alive the Kennedy legend but also the era at the time and the private and public victories and missteps of the father, brothers, and wives in a vivid manner.

I could not put this book down, sort of, as I only get about a half hour of free time to listen to it, but I heard them on contiguous days and thoroughly enjoyed every chapter of their challenges with Cuba, the Russians, the MLK led black rights movement, his devotion to his extended family especially his father, the JFK assassination, Bobby's ensuing dark period while still carrying on his familial responsibilities especially toward Jackie and her kids followed by his reappearance into the political world and his tussle with LBJ, and his love affair with the American public and tussle with Jimmy Hoffa and his political opponents while running for the Senate and finally succumbing himself to an assassins bullet while being an earshot of the Presidency himself.

Fabulous listen all round.

... with amazing anecdotes... Narration is a bit dry but his stories of thinking on his feet with the legendary stars he managed are priceless... I have relayed several of these anecdotes to my friends and it attracts rapt attention due to the insider nature of the stories about legends like Sinatra, Elvis and John Denver...

Vivid Story, Excellent Narration

If you overlook the fact that everything falls convincingly in place for Ram Mohammed Thomas to win the Billion Rupees, everything else is really superb... extremely apt description of both the locales and the characters, and the multi-religious lead man's roller coaster life story. However, the book would not be half as enjoyable without Kerry Shale's amazing narration.
