We are not positive because life is easy. We are positive because life can be hard. As a leader, you will face numerous obstacles, negativity, and tests. There will be times when it seems as if everything in the world is conspiring against you and your vision seems more like a fantasy than a reality. That's why positive leadership is essential! Positive leadership is not about fake positivity. It is the real stuff that makes great leaders great.

We live in strange times. A machine plays the strategy game Go better than any human; upstarts like Apple and Google destroy industry stalwarts such as Nokia; ideas from the crowd are repeatedly more innovative than corporate research labs. MIT's Andrew McAfee and Erik Brynjolfsson know what it takes to master this digital-powered shift: we must rethink the integration of minds and machines, of products and platforms, and of the core and the crowd.

Today's customers have more buying options than ever before. They don't care if it's direct or indirect. They don't mind if it's not your preferred sales model. And they don't like it when you try to tell them how to buy from you. If you want your customers to keep buying - and your company to keep growing - you need to rethink and retool the way you're selling. You need to go "hybrid". The Hybrid Sales Channel shows you how to integrate, invigorate, and maximize the direct and indirect sales channels you already have.

What made the experience of listening to Never Split the Difference the most enjoyable?

I liked the author's anecdotes that brought the message home for me.

What did you like best about this story?

I like the way each chapter builds on prior ones but are independent enough for repeat listening without the prior content.

What about Michael Kramer’s performance did you like?

I'm indifferent to his performance - it could have been more dynamic.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Captured!

Any additional comments?

Beloved German cyclist Jens Voigt isn't a superstar in the traditional sense of the word. Although he won three stages of the Tour de France - and wore the yellow jersey twice - Voigt never claimed an overall victory. He became a star because he embodies qualities that go beyond winning and losing: sacrifice, selflessness, reliability, and devotion. European and American crowds were drawn to his aggressive riding style, outgoing nature, and refreshing realness.
