It was supposed to be only a temporary job - something to pay the bills until Dusty could get his feet back on the ground and raise enough money for medical school. After all, there's nothing wrong with being a bellboy at a respectable hotel like the Manton - that is, until she came along. Marcia Hillis. The perfect woman. Beautiful. Experienced. Older and wiser. But while Dusty has designs on Marcia, Marcia has an agenda of her own.

I love this genre, and Jim Thompson is top notch. This little tale has everything a noir needs. Great story, great characters and wonderful performance by Mr. Troxell. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Loni Ann, Cynthia, Lauren, Cheryl, and Sara seemed to have it all - beauty, wealth, children, and a husband who they believed to be this perfect man - Brad Cunningham. He was handsome, charismatic, and mysterious. They adored him and tried to give him all he wanted. But he wanted everything: sex, money, and it seemed, their very lives. How long would it take before he finally got what he deserved?

I will just say that I have more than several Ann Rule novels in my audible library that I love, but this one is about such a really unsympathetic and sadistic murderer that it is almost hard to listen.

I will finish listening but once done, I will be deleting this one from my library and my phone. It just makes me feel very disturbed and at loose ends because the guy is really awful.

I have some sympathy for the ex-wives but not as much as I should.

The complete collection of landmark BBC Radio dramas of Raymond Chandler's Philip Marlowe mysteries. Philip Marlowe is the archetypal noir detective: wisecracking and world weary, hard boiled yet honourable. This volume includes all eight dramatisations of Raymond Chandler's groundbreaking crime novels featuring his iconic hero.

Phillip Marlowe, of course

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Whole thing was great!
