Stephanie Plum might not be the world's greatest bounty hunter, but she knows when she's being played. Ken Globovic (aka Gobbles), hailed as the Supreme Exalted Zookeeper of the animal house known as Zeta fraternity, has been arrested for beating up the dean of students at Kiltman College. Gobbles has missed his court date and gone into hiding. People have seen him on campus, but no one will talk. Things just aren't adding up.

You can start anywhere within the Stephanie Plum series, and not miss a beat! Each is a complete story all on its own. No cliff hangers, or hooks to force you into buying the next. Pure entertainment! I feel like I have been peeking in their windows watching these stories unfold. These characters are hilarious. Each book is its own stroke of genius.

Eli and Chelsea lost touch with each other over the years, until Eli bought a house in his father’s hometown of Edilean, Virginia, and invited Chelsea for a visit. She had her own life, and was certain that a childhood friendship couldn't be anything more, but she went nonetheless - and found herself quite unprepared for the changes she saw in Eli. And neither of them were prepared to run into a mystery, with a family that needed to be rescued.

I love all her books! They are brain candy for me. This two part-er was a fun way to fill a road trip. Predictable, but fun!

Voted Most Likely to Succeed, Melanie Bartlett ended up anything but. The down-on-her-luck single mom wants a complete do-over - is that too much to ask? With her family long gone from River Bend, strong, independent Mel is as surprised as anyone to end up in the quaint small town she once called home. But with her friends, Jo and Zoe, by her side, and a comfortable room at Miss Gina's quirky bed-and-breakfast, she just might have turned the corner on a new life.

The plot was decent, the characters were pretty well developed. . Maybe the accents are regional, maybe it was the narrator's choice? The love-interest, Wyatt's monosyllabic responses made him seem less than intelligent at times. I found the dialogue distracting. Overall, I'd give it a B-. It did fill the voids during a long car trip.
