I did not enjoy this book. For me it just plugged along. I found it boring. The audio performance was good, though.

I enjoyed the story and the narration. I agree with another review where I could have heard less about the character's Leaf car, though. However, what's with the no ending? Seriously this book just stopped. It needed closure as it left you in the dark about a few major plot lines. I hope there is another book to follow up so I can know what happened to a few of the characters.

I absolutely LOVE James Patterson books, including the ones that he co-authors, but this one was painful to finish. I don't want to ruin the story line for anyone planning to read it, but just let me say that for me, the main character was impossible to relate to. I found how he fit into what unfolded was just weird-- wouldn't happen in real life. Nothing against the narrator, but I just didn't think the voice fit for this particular character and story. It was truly hard for me to finish it, but since I paid good money for it... well, you know. Sorry I didn't like it-- I really wanted to.

I've listened to all the Rourke and Eve Dallas stories, and this one was just so-so. It was ok but nothing to get excited about. Same old, same old.

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

It was just ok.

Has The Late Show turned you off from other books in this genre?

Nope.

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

There wasn't a lot of emotion. Pretty dull in my opinion but not horrible by any means.

Could you see The Late Show being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

Nope.

Any additional comments?

The Rachel character was too "do her own thing" for me. I think you can be rogue, but she basically disregarded the law. I didn't like that. I also didn't like that she didn't really stay anywhere. If she's a serious official, she could use a home base. I wouldn't read the next installment of this character.
