In the summer of 2006, Emma Price watched helplessly as her six-year-old son's red coat was fished out of the River Ouse. It was the tragic story of the year - a little boy, Aiden, wandered away from school during a terrible flood, fell into the river, and drowned. His body was never recovered. Ten years later Emma has finally rediscovered the joy in life...until Aiden returns.

Very good book. Suspenseful. Thoroughly enjoyed. I want Joanne Froggatt to perform EVERY audiobook for me! She’s wonderful. I somehow slowed the narration speed one notch and that made it even better. On standard speed she sounded a bit rushed. First time I’ve used that feature; I like it.

Change is afoot at Kings Lake Central police station. A most unexpected new detective inspector takes up his post this Monday morning, and the oldest detective in the place takes a momentous decision. Around them, other officers are considering their own situations, and even the building itself seems to be facing an uncertain future. But life and death go on, nevertheless, and by lunchtime someone will make a grim discovery on the Norfolk saltmarshes. A stranger seems to have suffered a slow and agonizing death out there.

I love this series. The stories are interesting and the characters are well-developed. Jackson is perfection.
