I'm breaking up with setups. No more “you should meet my son, nephew, grandson, the butcher, the guy down the street who mows my lawn.” People mean well, but machines know better, so I'll rely on the great dating algorithms of the web to find my ideal man, thank you very much. Soon enough, it looks like I’ve found him - his screen name is Lucky Suit, and he’s hilarious, quick-witted, and full of heart. But when we finally get together in person, I have the distinct feeling I’ve met him before. Funny enough - he says the same thing about me.

JARED - If I had a dollar for every time Banner Morales made my heart skip a beat...The heart everyone assumes is frozen over. Her anger is...arousing. Every glare from those fire-spitting eyes, every time she grits her teeth, gets me...well, you know. If I had a dollar for every time she's put me in my place, I'd be an even richer man. I'm a successful sports agent because I assume "no" means you'll think about it. I'm sure what you meant to say is, "Coming right up." They say even rich men don't always get what they want, but those men don't know how to play the game.

Kennedy Ryan delivers another emotional story that is raw and real. Jared is great. While there were times I didn’t feel he showed Banner the respect she deserves, he’s not all the heartless prick he acts to be, and Banner is his world and he’s not afraid to show it or fight for her. But Banner, wow, what an amazing heroine Kennedy gives us in this story. She is one of the best I’ve read. One of a kind. A force.

“Don’t lose your compass, and that doesn’t mean don’t win. Win. Fight. Conquer. You have just as much right to success as anyone who works for it. It may be a jungle, and they may be lions . . .” She pauses, her eyes finding mine again, holding mine. “But the daughter of a lion is still a lion, and this is your domain.”

While there is an aspect of this story I struggle with reading, I still very much enjoyed the story. This is so much more than a love story and involves so many aspects. It’s about self-worth, insecurities, and guilt. It’s filled with fear, selflessness, forgiveness, and love. It makes you think. It makes you feel. It’s heartbreaking and raw. It’s written beautifully and with passion and heart.

“Good people may do bad things, wrong things, but they are still good people. Still capable of doing amazing things.”

I love Mariana Zapata’s writing!! This story warmed my heart.

Kulti is Sal’s soccer icon and she is in shock when he becomes her team’s new assistant coach. What ensues is a fun, witty, captivating story that I could not put down.

Kulti is moody and seems to have such an attitude. He’s working through some personal things and I loved seeing all sides of him. Sal! What a wonderful character. She’s driven, witty, honest, and loyal. She is a breath of fresh air for Kulti. I so enjoyed the way she slowly crept into Kulti’s life. Their friendship was an incredibly slow build and they are so much fun together. I loved their banter. They had me laughing so hard with their German bratwurst and taco fun.

“Have I told you, that you remind me of a splinter I can’t remove?”

I really enjoyed the audio too. The narration is fantastic!

This story is full of heart and passion. Another fantastic story by Mariana Zapata!

Vanessa Mazur knows she's doing the right thing. She shouldn't feel bad for quitting. Being an assistant/housekeeper/fairy godmother to the top defensive end in the National Football Organization was always supposed to be temporary. She has plans, and none of them include washing extra-large underwear longer than necessary. But when Aiden Graves shows up at her door wanting her to come back, she's beyond shocked.

What a captivating story! I enjoyed being in everyone’s head and getting their perspective. It’s very intriguing.

I love the plot and the way the story is written. Everyone has so many secrets and you’re just waiting for everything to be revealed. I enjoyed everyone’s backstories and the suspense it added to the story, so I was bit disappointed with how quick the ending was. I also would have liked a little more. The entire book was done from multiple point of views, which I loved, so I feel like the epilogue could have been done the same. I really would have liked to know more about what happens with certain characters.

This is a great mystery and I couldn’t wait to for everything to unravel and know what happened. It’s a great story that keeps you engaged.

Picture this - I’m ready to win back the love of my life, and I’m going big this time. We’re talking boom box, sing her name in the rain, let the whole damn neighborhood know I'm good and ready this time around. After all, if you're going to grand gesture the ever-loving hell out of a second chance, you need to pull out all the stops. There’s only one little problem. My college girlfriend isn't the one who shows up when I play my "I'll do anything to win you back" tune. The woman who flings open the second-floor window tells me my ex doesn’t live here anymore.

In December 2017 the famous porn star August Ames committed suicide in a park in the Conejo Valley. It happened a day after she’d been the victim of a pile-on, via Twitter, by fellow porn professionals - punishment for her tweeting something deemed homophobic. A month later, August’s husband, Kevin, connected with Jon Ronson to tell the story of how Twitter bullying killed his wife. What neither Kevin nor Ronson realized was that Ronson would soon hear rumors and secrets hinting at a very different story - something mysterious and unexpected and terrible.

An Atlanta ex-cop comes to Lake Sackett, Georgia, seeking peace and quiet - but he hasn’t bargained on falling for Frankie, the cutest coroner he’s ever met. Frankie McCready talks to dead people. Not like a ghost whisperer or anything - but it seems rude to embalm them and not say hello. Fortunately, at the McCready Family Funeral Home & Bait Shop, Frankie’s eccentricities fit right in. Lake Sackett’s embalmer and county coroner, Frankie’s goth styling and passion for nerd culture mean she’s not your typical Southern girl, but the McCreadys are hardly your typical Southern family.
