Hot on the trail of a North Korean looking to sell sensitive US intelligence to the Syrian regime, Pike Logan and the Taskforce stumble upon something much graver: the sale of a lethal substance called Red Mercury. Unbeknownst to the Taskforce, the Syrians plan to use the weapon of mass destruction against American and Kurdish forces and blame the attack on terrorists, causing Western nations to reassess their participation in the murky cauldron of the Syrian civil war. Meanwhile, North Korea has its own devastating agenda: a double cross that will dwarf the attack in Syria.

I am a big fan of spy thrillers so when I heard of Tier One I naturally had to dive in. Each book got better and better. John Dempsey has become one of my favorite characters right up there with Dewey Andreas and Pike Logan. Can’t wait for the next adventure

Dewey Andreas, still reeling from recent revelations about his own past, is ready to retire from the CIA. But he's the only available agent with the skills to carry out the CIA's plan to stop North Korea, which has made a secret nuclear deal with Iran. The plan is to inject a singular designer poison into the head of the North Korean military and in exchange for the nuclear plans, provide him with the one existing dose of the antidote. But it goes awry when Dewey manages to inject a small amount of the poison into himself.

I have listened to all the books and Ben Coes makes each book better. I was worried because it was another different narrator. Peter Hermann read the first 6 books and he was Dewey to me. I listened to the 7th book with Jay Snyder and as much as I love him as the Gray Man, he was NOT Dewey Andreas to me. But Ari Fliakos managed to make Dewey a great personality again. He read all the other characters well, and so I am happy again with my Dewey books. Please keep some continuity by keeping Ari if we can’t have Peter. Great, taut, heart racing plot! Can’t wait for the next one!

On his last combat deployment, Lt. Cmdr. James Reece's entire team was killed in an ambush that also claimed the lives of the aircrew sent in to rescue them. But when those dearest to him are murdered on the day of his homecoming, Reece discovers that this was not an act of war by a foreign enemy but a conspiracy that runs to the highest levels of government. Now, with no family and free from the military's command structure, Reece applies the lessons that he's learned in over a decade of constant warfare toward revenge.

I love Penny Reid books, and now that she has such great narrators, I almost exclusivey listen to them. I had just listened to a very intense book ( The Kremlin’s Candidate...also excellent) and needed comic relief. I knew I would get this with this author’s smart writing. And I did, but the bonus was listening to Stephen Dexter and Angela Dawe. Both were excellent in this readings. If you need or want a cute romantic comedy, I can not recommend this book highly enough.

It's been over a decade since Nora left her hometown of Scupper Island, Maine, and very seldom looked back. She's carved out a successful life in Boston, where no one knows her as the awkward girl with the delinquent sister and the dad who left, but a not-as-dramatic-as-it-sounds brush with death has her taking stock of her life. Inspired to reconnect with her prickly mother and snarky teenage niece, Nora returns home for the summer, where she's forced to face the people she's spent the last ten years trying to avoid.

Although I love Kristan Higgins books and Xe Sands is one of my favorite narrators I almost wish I had read this book instead of listening to it. Ms. Sands gave this such a melancholy feel that it was almost depressing. I know the main character, Nora, went through a lot but wondered if i had read the book I would have thought of the book differently. A great story and a bit unusual for Ms. Higgins, plot wise, but I am glad to have experienced it

This was my first Becky McGraw audible book. I have read all of the Deep Six Secuirty books, but had not listened to any. This was an enjoyable listen. Matt Haynes did a good job distinguishing between voices, although his female voices were not always discernible. The books are easy romantic suspense books and I found this one to be interesting and fast paced.
