I thought the first book was good and so I got this one. However, this book was soooo hard to get in to. The droning on and on about the money and the fortune and now this dumb skull is annoying. I gave the performance a 5 because she does a good job with what she had to perform to but the book is just ugh!I don't know if I'll go to book 3.

After reading the Fire Chronicle, I was overly excited about the third and final installment. I must say, I was thoroughly disappointed in this book. I bought it in April 2015 and because the book was so slow and boring, I am just now finishing it October 2015. It was such a total let down and it ended like "so that's it..." I don't know which book is worse, this one or the final book in the Divergent Trilogy. :( Even Jim Dale's character voices changed a bit and he couldn't even make the book any more interesting.

This has got to be one of the best books I've ever read/listened to. The narrators are amazing! It seems as it was written especially for them to narrate. The story was awesome! I really loved learning about ancient Egyptian history. Everything about this book was perfect, from the flow of the events to the characters and the excitement leading to the climax. There is nothing that I would change about this book and would recommend it to anyone who loves adventure. It was better than, in my opinion, the Percy Jackson series.

For untold years, the perfectly preserved mummy had lain forgotten in the basement of Boston's Crispin Museum. Its sudden rediscovery by museum staff is both a major coup and an attention-grabbing mystery. The mummy - to all appearances, an ancient Egyptian artifact - seems a ghoulish godsend for the financially struggling institution. Medical examiner Maura Isles soon discovers a macabre message hidden within the corpse - horrifying proof that this "centuries-old" relic is instead a modern-day murder victim.

In the murky shadows of an alley lies a female’s severed hand. On the tenement rooftop above is the corpse belonging to that hand, a red-haired woman dressed all in black, the body nearly decapitated. Two strands of silver hair — not human — cling to her body. They are Rizzoli’s only clues, but they’re enough for her and medical examiner Maura Isles to make a startling discovery: This violent death had a chilling prequel.
