This book has excellent ideas and useful information. The material is thought-provoking and helpful. However, the message could have been conveyed in half the time. Over-the-top on verbosity and useless rambling. Susan seems likeable and someone with whom I might enjoy having a conversation. I would suggest saving the stories for an autobiography.

Tribes are groups of people aligned around an idea, connected to a leader and to each other. Tribes make our world work, and always have. The new opportunity is that it's easier than ever to find, organize, and lead a tribe. The Web has enabled an explosion of all kinds of tribes - and created shortage of people to lead them. This is the growth industry of our time. Tribes will help you understand exactly what's at stake, and why YOU can and should lead a tribe of your own.

This was my first Seth Godin book. I am not going to say it will be my last, but I will say it fell far below my expectations. There were a few interesting ideas, but its mostly an updated rehash of concepts from the 90's, brought to us back then by Tom Peters and crew. Also, Tom was electric. Seth needs a little shot of enthusiasm.
