On a chilly February night, during a screening of Psycho in midtown, someone sunk an ice pick into the back of Chanel Rylan's neck, then disappeared quietly into the crowds of drunks and tourists in Times Square. To Chanel's best friend, who had just slipped out of the theater for a moment to take a call, it felt as unreal as the ancient black-and-white movie up on the screen. But Chanel's blood ran red, and her death was anything but fictional.

I usually enjoy the formula Nora Roberts uses in her JD Robb books. This one was slower paced than most. Or maybe it was the narration. I usually read these on the kindle, but I bought this for my commute. I normally finish in a couple of days and this book took me weeks. Just didn’t hold my attention

Genie's summer is full of surprises. The first is that he and his big brother, Ernie, are leaving Brooklyn for the very first time to spend the summer with their grandparents all the way in Virginia - in the COUNTRY! The second surprise comes when Genie figures out that their grandfather is blind. Thunderstruck, and being a curious kid, Genie peppers Grandpop with questions about how he covers it so well (besides wearing way cool Ray-Bans).

Where does As Brave as You rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This is a great little book that my family listened to on a recent road trip. The story is a lovely one about sibling love and the rifts in families and how they can be bridged. My nine year old boy/girl twins loved it as did I.
