I may just have to reread that one soon to better see the ideas I’ve come out with.

It’s definitely an intense read and I’m already thinking differently about it having finished than the thoughts I had while reading.

There was an interesting writing style switch in chapter 42 (if I recall correctly) that I think has a hidden meaning that I may have overlooked.

It only happened once in the entire book, but with the other Easter eggs toward an introspective meaning I’m creating an idea of what it meant.

The book definitely had me coming away with wanting to watch more. Watch social interaction and study various music theory that was mentioned.

I would definitely put it up there with some of the more twisted and disturbing scenes I’ve ever read, however nothing close to modern cinema in the fodder for nightmares.

I do recommend this one, if simply for the quizzical thoughts that arise afterwards.

Andrew "Ender" Wiggin was not the only child in the Battle School; he was just the best of the best. In this book, Card tells the story of another of those precocious generals, the one they called Bean, the one who became Ender's right hand, part of his team, in the final battle against the Buggers. Bean's past was a battle just to survive. His success brought him to the attention of the Battle School's recruiters.

What do Starbucks and JetBlue and KrispyKreme and Apple and DutchBoy and Kensington and Zespri and Hard Candy have that you don't? How do they continue to confound critics and achieve spectacular growth, leaving behind former tried-and true brands to gasp their last? Face it, the checklist of tired P's marketers have used for decades to get their product noticed - Pricing, Promotion, Publicity, to name a few - aren't working anymore.

Verily, the story Biff has to tell is a miraculous one, filled with remarkable journeys, magic, healings, kung fu, corpse reanimations, demons, and hot babes. Even the considerable wiles and devotion of the Savior's pal may not be enough to divert Joshua from his tragic destiny. But there's no one who loves Josh more (except maybe "Maggie," Mary of Magdalan) and Biff isn't about to let his extraordinary pal suffer and ascend without a fight.

For fans of Tina Fey and David Sedaris - Internet star Jenny Lawson, aka The Bloggess, makes her literary debut. Jenny Lawson realized that the most mortifying moments of our lives - the ones we'd like to pretend never happened - are in fact the ones that define us. In Let's Pretend This Never Happened, Lawson takes readers on a hilarious journey recalling her bizarre upbringing in rural Texas, her devastatingly awkward high school years, and her relationship with her long-suffering husband, Victor.

This is my fifth book by this author on inspiration from sports stars and I have noticed that every single one of the books is practically identical and the author only change is the names to correlate to the book title.

Still great stuff! But just buy one of the books and then just replace the lessons learned with a different person's name if you want to know what the rest of the series is about.

This authors book series on inspirational works based on popular sports fighters is phenomenal!

Although… After I have listened through a handful I have come to find that the author repeats some of the same chapters from the MacGregor book in almost every other book he has even if the George Foreman book I just finished for example has nothing to do with McGregor.

Why we think it’s a great listen: It’s easy to say that when it comes to sci-fi you either love it or you hate it. But with Ender’s Game, it seems to be you either love it or you love it.... The war with the Buggers has been raging for a hundred years, and the quest for the perfect general has been underway for almost as long. Enter Andrew "Ender" Wiggin, the result of decades of genetic experimentation.

There was some amazing plot twists that I did not expect.

Quite a page turner!

The only odd thing was the chapter divisions. If you set the sleep timer for the end of chapter you'll notice that for some reason, the audible chapters do not coincide with the actual chapters in the book. Rather they randomly cut off midsentence.

Wicca: Living a Magical Life by best-selling author Lisa Chamberlain was created for new and aspiring Witches who want more insight and ideas for making the transition into full-fledged Witchdom. It can definitely be used as part of your study as you make your way toward initiation/self-dedication, and even includes a step-by-step ritual you can perform when (and if) you feel the time is right. But the information here is valuable whether or not you choose a formal entrance into the Craft.

The information in the book is phenomenal!

It's just that the narrator kept reading 'rationalist' as 'Racialist.'

Which is:
racialist - a person with a prejudiced belief that one race is superior to others

Rather than:
ra·tion·al·ist
ˈraSH(ə)n(ə)ləst/
noun
1.
a person who bases their opinions and actions on reason and knowledge rather than on religious belief or emotional response.

Listening to almost a half an hour about Atheistic Witches who don't practice deity work, who are science minded and want "proof in their pudding" being called Racialist Wiccans
Over and over
Was rather disturbing.

I feel bad whenever the author hears this narrative.
