The Triune's attention is a deadly thing to attract. The world's oldest and most powerful vampire queens devise a plan to ensure the fledgling Isador queen is eliminated before she can call enough Blood to protect her. But Shara has already drawn formidable and famously powerful Blood to her side: Leviathan, king of the depths; Guillaume de Payne, the headless Templar knight; Wu Tien Xin, the silent invisible assassin; Nevarre, the Morrigan's own Shadow; and, of course, her first two Blood, Alrik and Daire, inexperienced, but extremely powerful in their own right.

I kinda have the same comments as I do for Book 3, Queen Takes Queen, of Joely’s Their Vampire Queen series as I did for Book 2! I love this story and the world Joely has created. I don’t know why it took me so long, but I am addicted already. I hope the rest of the series gets more books done in audio, it definitely deserves to be!!

The storyline was fantastic, more twists to the story for Shara and her Blood. I loved the dichotomy between Shara and the Zenaya Queen. I knew the twist (what she was hiding in her nest) but the nuances between her, her “heart”, her twin brothers...really added a lot of layers to this story and I can’t wait to read Book 4 to learn what happens next with the war brewing between the NY Queen and Shara. I am intrigued by the new blood, not sure how I feel about them yet. I am loving the other blood more and more and loved the M/M that spiced up the bedroom for some of the blood haha. My guilty pleasure is M/M, so that was amazing (and a little distracting to be driving while listening hahaha). I will say there were times in the beginning of the book where the sex got too much, but like Book 2, it evened out in the middle to end of the stories and was more well rounded with sex and storyline.

The only complaint I have, which is why I couldn’t give it 5 stars on the performance section is because this time both narrators had issues with not being consistent with accents and messing up who was doing what. I think this could easily be resolved by someone listening though and annotating these areas before the audio is live. I know not all authors have someone to do this/don’t have the time to do it themselves, but I can see it getting worse with all the additions to Shara’s blood and their multiple accents. Both narrators did a phenomenal job capturing the emotions correctly and the flow was perfect. I am loving these 2 and already am looking for other books using one of these narrators.

Great audiobook, would definitely recommend people buy/download this series and enjoy the steamy and action packed life of Shara Isador ❤️❤️❤️.

I listened to Queen Takes King on audio and absolutely loved it!! I couldn't stop listening, needing to know what happened next ❤️. I had heard a lot about this series from various groups on Facebook but I am so glad I finally took the plunge and are listening to them! I will say I had to detract a star because the male narrator (Tristan) sometimes messed up his accents and said it as the wrong character. I think this could have been caught during the last review before it went live, but it didn't detract too much. It was in the 2nd half of the audiobook (I think its more apparent in the beginning of Book 3 to be honest). I thought Cassandra did a fantastic job and Tristan did well except for the issues with keeping the characters accents consistent. I mean, it's only to be harder as Shara gains more blood, so I totally get it.

In the second book in Their Vampire Queen we get to meet more Blood and see how Shara handles the King that she is destined to be with. I have to say I was worried about adding more Blood to her group and not liking all of them, but I am totally loving each and every one of them! Each has a flaw that you cant help but fall in love with. I really enjoyed reading Shara kicking butt each time she was confronted with an obstacle (and holy moly she sounds incredibly intimidating as her cobra). I can't wait to see how Rik and Shara break Mehen (I'm not gonna lie, I loved him being called Levi haha). The steam is off the chart! I will say about halfway through I was a little over how steamy it was/all the sex because it seemed like it wasn't moving the story along. Only took a couple hours to get back into the story and I feel back in love with it quickly!

I am already listening to Book 3 and can't wait to see where this story goes 😊. Can't wait for more M/M action as well, I love the little additions that Joely adds in each book. I love the guys are becoming a unit and not just in it for themselves. Great story, highly recommend.

I had heard a lot of good things about this series and thought I would try it out on audio since I have had more time getting through books that way with all my traveling for work. I was super happy I did! I loved this series, its very addicting and I couldn't wait to get back in my car and wasn't too upset to be stuck in extra holiday traffic so I could listen more to Shara and her Blood.

I loved the storyline, from seeing Shara grow and develop feelings for her men and also seeing her start the journey into being a vampire Queen. I liked that she was reluctant with stuff that RiK and Daire suggested, which is how anyone who was raised in the human world would react. Loved that her blood opens them up to their powers and that they can shift into different things. I loved the steam and looooove that Rik and Daire have a relationship (my guilty pleasure is definitely M/M anything haha). I started on Book 2 on audio already, I also bought Book 3 because I knew I would be in this for the long haul haha.

In terms of the narration, I thought both Tristan and Cassandra did a good job. They weren't my favorite narrators, I think sometimes it was tough to tell the difference between Rik and Daire, and sometimes Cassandra's tone didn't match the sentiment of the phrase, but overall I would definitely listen to them again. I already have listened to some of Book 2 and they definitely improve in that one (so many new voices to hear them do!).

Overall, great series on audio, will be definitely be listening to the rest while on vacation. I will say they are DEFINITELY not suitable to listen to at work hahaha. My face kept getting red with the steamy scenes (since they do increase in volume in Book 2) and it was too much to try and explain it to my coworkers without giving away what made my face red haha.

Definitely top 5 audiobooks this year!! I purchased this audiobook so I could start catching up on the Zara Wolf books in anticipation of Book 4 coming out soon. I cannot wait for all of these books to be on audio, Veronica Pace and Conner Goff do I fabulous job. I think Veronica is way stronger, but Conner doesn’t do a bad job. I think Conner could improve on how he distinguishes the different guy voice a little, since their personalities are not all the same. I loved how Veronica did all the different side characters, even making Faith sound annoying haha. I didnt want this audiobook to end, hopefully Books 2 and 3 will be out early 2019 😁. It will be interesting to see how they do with Books 2 and 3 with some of the scenes and new characters. I think the scene that hit me most was when Zara realized what the witches gave her and the aftermath. I really felt it during the audio when Montgomery comforts her in the shed. Totally won me over/sealed the deal.

The overall story is fabulous, but that’s not surprising when it comes to CM Stunich. She creates worlds and characters that you cant help falling for (total girl crush on Zara btw!). In each of the 3 books, CM does a fabulous job at making me switch up who is my favorite, it changes so much that I pretty much love all of her mates! Right now, since I am currently on Book 3, Montgomery, Anubis, and Titus are my favs haha. But it totally was Nic, Silas, and Montgomery in Books 1 and 2. Jax I am still on the fence with, but he earns brownie points every time he gets some time with Zara. CM does a great job in Book 1 setting the stage for an epic showdown between many types of supernatural creatures. We get to see the inner workings of the Convocation and all the pomp and circumstance with the Pairing (daaaaaang Zara was totally BA with the different pieces of silver!). I thought it was cool the juxtaposition with the characters as humans and as wolves. BTW favorite side character is totally Nic’s mom haha. Cannot wait to have more of these in my hands, either Books 4-7 in ebook or Books 2 and 3 in audio hehe. Highly recommend both the ebooks and audiobook 😍

I liked the narration in Shattered Illusions performed by Charlotte Storm, a totally different pace for the other narrators that Laura has chosen to read her other series. I would have given it a 3.5 stars but rounded up to a 4 since there wasn’t a lot of change-up for the different guys in the harem but Ashryn was done well. I think this series would be best be done as a whole trilogy, since each book is novella size and Book 1 ends just as its getting to the good part haha.

I liked the overall story by Laura Greenwood, Ashryn is a feisty MC that has her world flipped outside down when she becomes the thing she has trained to hunt and kill her whole life. I love how the different guys in the harem are introduced and you don’t know who is going to be in it really until after Book 1 (you have some guesses, but there are quite a few that could fit the bill). I liked how kickass Ashryn is and can’t wait to listen to more of her story come to life hopefully in future audiobooks. I think the audiobook changed who my favorite was surprisingly, but I will wait to hear more of this story on audio before I confirm that haha.

Ok so where do I even begin. So I will first talk about the narration, since to me, this is the most important thing in terms of reviews for audiobooks. A narrator can either wreck the whole thing or elevate the story. I will say I have never listened to Riley Raye before and if I remove one character from Reviving Kendall she portrays, she is is my top 10 favorite narrators! I thought she brought life to Kendall and most of the quad. I will tell you that this audiobook is the first and only audiobook that has made me cry while listening. I am suuuper glad I wasn't listening to this on my ride into work, I was a blubbering mess haha. I don't want to give it away, but I almost experienced a loss like Kendall did and by sheer luck (my brother used all the hot water that morning), I was lucky enough to be home to help get my mom to the hospital in time. If I hadn't been there, she wouldn't have made it. So when that particular scene comes up and the emotion Riley gives in her performance, I couldn't help bawling. It was amazing how she sucked me into that moment. Bravo, Riley; thank you for helping to bring this story to life. MY ONLY GRIPE was her portrayal of Grant/Goose. Like when I read the book, I didn't imagine him having a higher voice and Riley makes him sound like a preteen who hasn't gone through puberty yet haha, but I was able to get past it and I loved her portrayals of the other guys, I thought they were spot on (especially Mav and Lucas).

For the story, I love this book by Brandy Slaven. The rawness she includes, makes it feel like I am there, like I am experiencing those things. I loved everything about this book and I am so happy to have listened to it on audio as well. I couldn't stop listening some days when I got home (I mostly listen while commuting) but there were some scenes I needed to get to the end of the chapter before I could do anything else haha. I think my favorite guys in the story were Lucas and Grant, but in the audio it was definitely Mav and Lucas haha. I loved that we got to see their first times with Kendall, some RH's kinda skip over some but each guy is a piece of the puzzle/harem and needs to have that time with her and Brandy executed it amazingly. There are so many amazing characters in this story, you will fall for some of the side ones as well as Kendall and her quad (some of the siblings for sure!). Kendall has to overcome a lot of tough things as a teenager, some that no teenager should have to face alone, and the quad is there for her when she needs it. I thought it was nice to see how much they needed her as well. I can't wait to see what happens on their next journey together post high school. Cannot wait for Book 2 to be on audio ❤️

I was surprised to hear Laura choose a narrator that wasn't British or using a British accent for the MC. I just envisioned this story to have a British MC like the other Fae Princesses. I actually didn't mind this narrator, I like some of the guy accents (I will say the ones for Micah and Jacob kept changing - Micah sounded Boston, then New Yorker, and then something else haha; Rory sounded British, then Irish, then Scottish haha). I enjoyed it all-around and would definitely listen to her again. Sometimes she didn't have the right inflections but it wasn't enough to take away from the story.

Regarding the story, this is definitely one of Laura's that I really really want more of. I know there are 2 other books in this story but they are about Rhianna and her men. Laura just got them all bonded and then it was over 😢. I think this story could be incredibly amazing and be a 5 start like Aledwin and Eira, but the stoppage of the story there prevents me from giving it. I would read a whole trilogy on these guys, to see Rhianna connect with her 4 guys, especially in the bedroom, to see her shift/gain more powers, etc. I would definitely rec this book, but with the caveat of wanting more with really no hope of getting it, since Laura is a wiz with the words and has so many stories in her head she is working on.

I enjoyed this short story about an owner of a bakery finding herself in some sexy situations with 3 guys. I think the word count made it tough to 100% get sucked in/fall in love with the characters, but it was a good story nonetheless. I like Saffron (love the name) and I really enjoyed her blooming relationship with her and Cal and eventually her and Evan (was still on the fence about Daniel). I loved how steamy it got with the brothers and how surprisingly dominating Cal was after being so adorable with the date and gift 😍.

I hate writing this part of the review, but I strive to be honest in every one of mine. I had a really tough time with this narrator. Probably one of the ones I will think twice about getting the book for in the future. I think the way she read and took breaths/pauses when there shouldn't have been and rambled on with no breaks between sentences made it tough for me to get into the story. I had to stop and take a break twice. I think her choice of inflections took away from the story and made me think about starting a different story.

I definitely recommend the story though, it was a cute short read and the play on spices/saffron was incredibly cute and cheeky hahaha.

I really enjoyed this story by Laura Greenwood (I could have seen this being a whole series actually but totally understand Laura has so many amazing ideas they cant all be trilogies haha). I thought Laura did a great job on including the political and strict nature/behind the scenes of being a royal in this novella/short story. I liked Carter and Albert the best I think because we got to see the most time with them and totally loved how funny and surprisingly kinky Albert was hahaha. I loved the way the group got Margaret to stop stirring up trouble haha, taste of her own medicine. I couldn't help but squeal and giggle with the epilogue, love HEAs ❤️

For the narration, I was kinda on the fence to be honest. I think it got better as the story went on, but the beginning was pretty rough for me. I had an issue with Nicole being monotone and her the lack of inflections. I think in the middle, she let loose for a couple chapters and it was great, but then went back to more of a monotone/no emotions or change in expressions. I would have given a higher rating if she had been consistent the whole way through (I was closer to giving a 2 stars but couldn't do it). I did enjoy this story and the narration took away from it sometimes, but not enough to make me stop listening.

I was really surprised by this audio to be honest. I liked reading the book, don't get me wrong, but usually I like the book better than the audio version. This audiobook elevated the story for me, made me love it instead of just like it. Aiden really brought the male characters to life in this story, I hope he gets more scenes in the upcoming books. I was surprised to hear how different he made the male characters. You could definitely tell when he was being Enver and when he was being, let's say Havoc. Elizabeth did a great job, especially with all her different characters she had to do. I couldn't believe how she did the Queen of Nightmares and Death, I loved that accent the most I think. I have listened to some of Elizabeth's other work and I thought this was one of her strongest ones 😊

For Elle's debut book, I thought this story was good. I liked the different levels she created in the storyline. For the first time in any book, I kinda wish she waited/took a little longer for Katrina to get with all her men. I think I also wished there was more even times with her guys, I think there is definitely favoritism (excluding Enver since he is the primus). I loved that her inner circle wasn't restricted to her original 4 guys. I hope we get to see more times with Taran and Havoc, since they got lost in shuffle of her needing to bond with the group. I liked how we got to read/listen to her first real moments with Enver and West, but not really with Havoc and Taran, they were kinda rushed. I am excited to listen to Book 2 next, to see how meeting the surprise at the end turns out for her. I definitely am loving her powers and the new things she is learning (and her pet/familiar/awesome friend). Oh and I wish I could see these tattoos that are referenced, would make for great images in a Brightling Court coloring book 😁😍❤️
