Out of all the mysterious boarders who call Sanctuary home, no one is more antisocial or withdrawn than Maxis Drago. But then it's hard to blend in with the modern world when you have a 50-foot wingspan. Centuries ago he was cursed by an enemy who swore to see him fall. An enemy who took everything from him and left him forever secluded.

Holter Graham is probably one of my most favorite narrators. He did the Chronicles of Nick, which I absolutely loved with all my heart!!!!! However, since he's been narrating the Dark Hunters, I've noticed a few errors like Urian. I cringe every time he goes to say his name. But, as the ending was coming, Medea said something about her half brother Urian and Holter got it right!!!!!! Way to go, dude! I had to go back and listen to it again to make sure I heard right. I did it three times and could swear that tears of joy were falling down on my cheeks. Way to go Holter! You Rock!!!!! I'm so proud of you this time.

Until the day he laid down his arms and walked into self-imposed exile. Now an ancient enemy has been unleashed and our dreams are his chosen battlefield. The only hope we have is the one god who swears he will never fight again.

Honestly, he was better than the narrator of One Silent Night. With that being said, he sucked too! When you have invested your time and heart into these stories and pay good money, mind you, to listen to them. You want someone who will bring them alive. This narrator though? Where are you finding these people? He may be good for a tutorial or a children's book, but not for the kind of story like this. I can't even tell you how great the story is because my mind is so blown over how bad the narrator was. Ok, so he's probably a great guy, I feel bad for him. He didn't do my Author Goddess any justice with his "skills". He totally left us lacking. I feel like I was robbed.

First of all, I don't know how they pick the narrator. But, this guy? I felt like I listening to an episode of Barney the whole time. It sucked!!! Sorry, I'm sure he's a great guy. It felt like a train wreck though. This did not feel like a Sherrilyn Kenyon book at all. I was so disappointed. It was irritating to listen to. The women sounding like spoiled rich bitches with their whiny voices and Stryker, who is supposed to be scary as shit, sounded like Barney. Please, for the love of all that is great in this world, don't let him narrate another book by Sherrilyn Kenyon.

As it seems the end is drawing near, I'm going to miss Holter's version of Nick and his smart cajun mouth. If you haven't listened to this series, you have missed one hell of a narration. Holter has really done a great job as Nick and the rest of the characters in this series.

Nick Gautier is tired of his destiny. He doesn’t want to be the son of a demon who’s fated to end the world. Nor does he want to see another demon or other preternatural creature who wants to kill or enslave him. He just wants to be normal and have normal problems like everyone else. But normality isn’t all it’s cracked up to be.
