Would you consider the audio edition of A Message to Millennials to be better than the print version?

I believe it's equal and you would do well to either buy the print book, kindle edition or the audio book. Some readers have an auditory learning style (my youngest son and I) while others have a visual learning style (my oldest son). We've got lots of books and audio books in this genre including many by Tracey's own dad, Charlie "Tremendous" Jones.

What did you like best about this story?

Everything! This is short, sweet and powerful. This book can be life changing for any adult or millennial who will listen and apply these timeless principles.

Which character – as performed by Tracey C. Jones – was your favorite?

Herself ... her stories are unique and her experience is extensive ranging from the military to the corporate world.

What’s an idea from the book that you will remember?

Fear failing to launch.
Be a great follower.
Seek counsel.
Take responsibility.
Get excited about where you are.
To get a better job, do a better job.
Finish well.
Stay thankful.
"Remember, your dream job WILL call your none dream job for references."
Do all things well and take your job seriously.
etc. etc. etc.

Any additional comments?

Buy the e-book, print book or listen to the audiobook as I did. I'm paying my teenagers $100- to read this book and give me a short synopsis of it.

At 44, acclaimed cardiologist Dr. John Day was overweight and suffered from insomnia, degenerative joint disease, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol. On six medications and suffering constant aches, he needed to make a change. While lecturing in China, he'd heard about a remote mountainous region known as Longevity Village, a wellness Shangri-La free of disease where living past 100 was not uncommon.

What made the experience of listening to The Longevity Plan the most enjoyable?

I read this book as part of my preparation for Walking, Living, Learning Vol. 2.This book will get anyone thinking about their health, well-being and longevity and give practical advice to improve each area. I loved the stories, the 7 easy to remember points, and the narrators use of correct Chinese in parts of the book to illustrate points and draw the listener in.

What did you like best about this story?

Dr. John Day's last line in the book is; "The secret, it turned out, was simplicity!" Each point he shares is simple, yet profound. Each point is easy to do, and just as easy not to do.Each chapter is well written and builds line upon line and point upon point, compelling you to follow the 7 points he discovered while visiting Longevity Village in China.

What does Joel Richards bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

His Mandarin is better then mine and I studied for 5 years. ;-) Great job.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Ancient secrets for YOUR health & longevity.

Any additional comments?

Read & implement the practices discussed in this book. I wish more Dr's would believe and practice what Dr. Day has shared in this book. Well done and for me .... 5 stars all-around!

The Bible is rich with leadership gold. But we haven't mined it for all it's worth. Leaders know a lot about the Bible and a lot about leadership — separately. We haven't yet explored the depths of the Bible as a primary source for leadership insight. This book aims to change that.

What did you love best about The Top 10 Leadership Conversations in the Bible?

This is a great researched based leadership book. The Top 10 Leadership Conversations in the Bible came to my attention via a recommendation and I've since recommended it as well.

What did you like best about this story?

I love the 10 easy to remember words and the stories Steve shares along the way.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

First of all, these are Audible generated questions but since Steve and I both understand feedback, I will be more honest here. ;-) For the love of leadership, and re-listening, please get a sound editor next time who will edit out each breath, pop and crackle. It's great info that leaders should listen to and continue to re-listen to. J. Oswald Sanders, a leader I'm sure Steve and I both admire, wrote in his book Spiritual Leadership that its not your breadth of reading but your depth of reading that matters. The Top 10 Leadership Conversations in the Bible is a book all leaders should deep dive into but this narration, as is, could hinder some listener's from even finishing it the first time.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I love this book. It's convicting, concise and complete.

Any additional comments?

Buy the print book, get the kindle edition or listen to this as I did. This is solid information and I'm grateful for Steve's efforts in putting it together.
Great job Steve and I'm looking forward to hearing more of your books on Audible.

Probably not for a while although he researched this topic well.

Creativity, Inc. is a book for managers who want to lead their employees to new heights, a manual for anyone who strives for originality, and the first-ever, all-access trip into the nerve center of Pixar Animation - into the meetings, postmortems, and "Braintrust" sessions where some of the most successful films in history are made. Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

YES! YES! Whether you are interested in Animation, Business, Creativity, Design, Engineering, Finance or even just Personal and Professional Growth you would do well to read, listen to and learn from Creativity, Inc.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Creativity, Inc.?

I loved the stories & insights into Pixar, Steve Job, Business, Constructive Feedback and Creativity.

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

I sped the narration up to 1.25x as I started the book to go through it faster and found it a great pace. The narrator was articulate and accurate in his reading.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The entire book is insightful and informative. I was almost moved to tears with the narration of Steve Jobs tribute toward the very end. I was imagining the Pixar a cappella group singing and was half expecting it to be in the audio edition.

Any additional comments?

I first heard Ed Cetmull at Willow Creek’s Global Leadership Summit and I bought the print book for my aspiring filmmaker. I feel the audio version could have been even better if an audio recording of select Steve Jobs tribute speeches (and Pixar a cappella group) could have been inserted toward the end. It could have been bonus content and a reward for those who listened to the end. Kudos Ed and Amy and everyone who worked on this project for a job well done!
