No affairs. No criminal connections. No DNA. No clues. Eve Dallas may be the best cop in the city - not to mention having the lavish resources of her husband Roarke at her disposal - but the Swisher case has her baffled. The family members were murdered in their beds with brutal, military precision.

Read this in print and listened to it on CD many moons ago. This is one of the JD Robb's that has always been one of my favorites. Decided it was worth having in my Audible Library - like it still. Story is good - from the kid's view. Love the many characters that evolve in this book - seems like Dallas a bit more human - interact with others. Action packed with some finger biting for me - I still like this story. Now, I can listen to it as often as I wish.

Sir John Penlyon is planning to spend Christmas at his estate with his niece and his friend Danby, the closest thing he has to family since disowning his daughter years ago. (She eloped with the parson, who was, of course, penniless.) Danby suggests that at Christmastime the estate needs the presence of small children, and offers to find some - the “hirelings” - despite Sir John’s skepticism. Three children duly arrive, and the youngest, precocious four year-old Moppet, quickly endears herself to Sir John.

I HAVE A FEW BONETTI LISTENS ALREADY - ADDED THE 20 MINUTE TO ADD TO THE COLLECTION. WOW! HE DOES A GREAT JOB WITH HIS VOICE TO SEDUCE ME TO CALM. MOST DAYS I BARELY GET TO 3 MINUTES OF THE LISTEN AND DO NOT WAKE UNTIL MY ALARM GOES OFF 2 HOURS LATER. WHILE SOMETIMES - HIS SUGGESTION OF WAKING UP AFTER THE 19TH MINUTES HAS ME MAKING THE CHOICE TO WAKE UP, LINGER ON IN SLEEP, OR RE-LISTEN TO HIS VOICE FOR ANOTHER 20 MINUTE MEDITATION.

HAVING STRANGE SLEEP PATTERNS IN LIFE - THESE MEDITATION/HYPNOTHERAPY LISTENS DO WONDERS FOR MY REST TIME.

"No time to delay. Do what you were born to do. Fame will be yours when you do this." These are the words that ring in the mind of mild-mannered, beloved schoolteacher Cora Gundersun - just before she takes her own life, and many others', in a shocking act of carnage. When the disturbing contents of her secret journal are discovered, it seems certain that she must have been insane. But Jane Hawk knows better.

A bit long and some of the character conversations seemed a bit "repeatable" - but - I enjoyed The Whispering Room. Elizabeth Rodgers voice inflections added to the mood of the story - similar to the music in scary movies - setting the scene. Koontz has done similar story lines with mind control and whispers in other books - this book has me remembering all the good ones of years ago. Wish it ended all happy and neat but then it would not be the series it has been set up to be... Took me a week at work to finish up the listen - a bit longer than I normally like an audio book - but I found this one to be worth the listen!

John and Jenny were just beginning their life together. They were young and in love, with a perfect little house and not a care in the world. Then they brought home Marley, a wriggly yellow furball of a puppy. Life would never be the same. Marley quickly grew into a barreling, 97-pound streamroller of a Labrador retriever. He crashed through screen doors, gouged through drywall, and stole women's undergarments. Obedience school did no good - Marley was expelled.

I have 2 other fave authors of Hypnotherapy - but - decided to try a 3rd one on a sale item - lo and behold I liked Joe Thielke's voice. So on my next purchase, I decided to go for another of his collection. Found this 4 in 1 and decided to "go for it!". So, far, I have mellowed out enough to enjoy about 2 books of the 4. I feel good after each listen - a good thing for me.
