I will have to read this book myself or listen again. The fact that the book downloaded in two parts is not the problem; The problem is that there was no advanved notification of this . The book in fact, downloaded reversed - with the second part before the first and was numbered in the library in sequential order. As a result, I heard the second part of the book before the beginning. I feel cheated from experiencing the story in the way the author intended.

Twelve-year-old Zero is traveling with 20,000 people for 105 years to colonize a new planet. Everyone is in stasis, so they'll be safe during the trip, but when Zero's pod malfunctions it wakes him early, like 105 years early. At first he's excited to be the only one awake - he has the entire ship to himself, so he can go anywhere and see and do and eat anything he wants - but when a family of space pirates show up, trying to hijack the ship and kidnap the colonizers, Zero has to think fast and find a way to stop them all on his own.

One of the comedy world's fastest-rising stars tells his wild coming of age story during the twilight of apartheid in South Africa and the tumultuous days of freedom that followed. This wasn't what I expected. I thought it was going to be a series of jokes or a comedic presentation of life. From the first time I was exposed to Mr. Noah, I have enjoyed listening to him and his take on life. This was enjoyably captivating and informative. As a black person in American there was much I could relate to. Yet, as a Black American there was a great deal I could only appreciate in the context of the story presented. I will listen to this again and share with other book worms I know.

An inspiring story of a modern American icon, here is the first comprehensive account of the life and times of Michelle Obama. With disciplined reporting and a storyteller’s eye for revealing detail, Peter Slevin follows Michelle to the White House from her working-class childhood on Chicago’s largely segregated South Side. He illuminates her tribulations at Princeton University and Harvard Law School during the racially charged 1980s and the dilemmas she faced in Chicago.

I have appreciated First Lady Obama for as lonf as I have know of her. It was predominantly an emotional connection until now. Being only one year my junior, our stories are as much alike as they are different. While many may selfishly disregard the challenges of her place in leadership, I am full of gratitude. Thank you for telling the story from this perspective because every perspective has validity ti those who value them.

Modern life can seem like being lost in a jungle. With distractions and dangers emerging from every direction, it's easy to lose focus. Over time, we lose touch with one of our most powerful, purposeful, God-given attributes - the desire to be fruitful and multiply, what Bishop T. D. Jakes calls our "instinct for increase". Combining historical, cultural, and personal examples with biblical insights, in Instinct Bishop Jakes outlines how to rediscover your natural aptitudes and reclaim the wisdom of your past experiences.

Would you try another book from T. D. Jakes and/or Ezra Knight?

I have read many of Bishop Jakes books and will likely wait till my next break from school to read Instinct for myself. I just ordered the audiobook today but cannot make it past the first 22 mins. The reader sounds like he is fighting the text.

What could T. D. Jakes have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Read the text himself or designate someone else. I can't imagine Bishop Jakes previewed this reading and gave his stamp of approval. This is not quality expected from a masterful communicator like Bishop Jakes.

How could the performance have been better?

If it were simply read. Mr. Knight sounds like he was trying too hard to be dramatic and instead he just sounds frustrated or something. Almost like he was reading under duress.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Frustration, disappointment and regret at having paid for this without reading the reviews. I simply assumed the quality because it was from Bishop Jakes.

Any additional comments?

If refund is possible, I would appreciate one as I will NEVER listen to more than I have already suffered. If the production is redone with a different, more suitable performance, I would settle for a replacement.
