There Eddard Stark of Winterfell rules in Robert's name. Far to the north, behind the towering Wall, lie savage Wildings and worse - unnatural things relegated to myth during the centuries-long summer, but proving all too real and all too deadly in the turning of the season. Review of First 5 Books

Ruined by horrible narrator
EVERY character is made to sound like a drunken goblin, old woman, or caricature of the author’s vision. Women are given a falsetto voice. The result is that serious scenes are portrayed as comedies. There is no difference of intensity from scene to scene. It’s awful. I was looking forward to listening the entire series, but I’m stopping after the first book.
