Against the immense backdrop of the American West, Larry McMurtry tracks the Berrybender's as they make their way up the great river, surviving attacks, discomfort, savage weather, and natural disaster. Sin Killer is an adventure story as big as the West itself, full of incident, and suspense, as well as a charming love story between a headstrong and aristocratic young Englishwoman and the stubborn, shy, and very American Jim Snow.

Don't waste a credit on this book! The book has no driving plot, the majority of the dialog is bickering between spoiled family members and the strangest part is how it end. It just stops. No dramatic event to build for a squeal. No conclusion to the story. Nothing! It's like the author got bored( as I was) and just stopped writing. Strange.

The Road to Key West is an adventurous/humorous sojourn that cavorts its way through the 1970s Caribbean, from Key West and the Bahamas, to Cuba and Central America. In August of 1971, Kansas Stamps and Will Bell set out to become nothing more than commercial divers in the Florida Keys, but adventure, or misadventure, seems to dog them at every turn.

What disappointed you about The Road to Key West?

It was a pretty good listen until the author brought in dirty cops, dirty politicians, quacky bank robber and aliens. It starts off a couple kids move to the keys and has some adventure then the author just drives off the cliff. Don't get this one.

Have you listened to any of Nick Sullivan’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

The narrator was the only really good thing about this book.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

It was well written.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Maybe. Basically a good foundation of interesting characters but the author relied too much on unrealistic violence. No way a guy could go around killing people the way the main character does. I am ok with violence but make it somewhat believable.
There is enough good in Johnny Asa's book that I will listen to another with the hope he flesh's out the characters more and uses violence less as a crutch.

Would you try another book from Gary Williams and/or A. T. Chandler?

The title of the book leads you believe the book is about Michael Murphy when actually there is very little about him in the book. Its more a dry text book of the workings of the seals such as BUDS, and other training info. Just not what I expected or wanted.

Has Seal of Honor turned you off from other books in this genre?
