I met Bianca in an elevator. She was on her way to interview me when we got stuck. The beautiful raven-haired reporter assumed I was a delivery guy because of the way I was dressed. She had no clue I was really Dex Truitt, the wealthy, successful businessman she'd dubbed "Mister Moneybags" - her afternoon appointment. Bianca told me how much she hated Dex's type - snobby, over-educated, silver-spooned men who didn't appreciate the simple things in life.

This was a great story until the possibility of the main characters being brother and sister evolved. The writer treats the issue with less of the seriousness it deserves. The story even includes a plan by the male character to try and convince his possible sister that being together wouldn’t really be so terrible. Although this aspect only makes up a small part of the story, once it comes up, it dominates the story. I found the levity with which the issue of incest is treated disappointing and disturbing. The story would have been just as good if this had been left out. The only saving grace about this aspect of the story is that the main characters hadn’t had sex before they found out they weren’t related.

The content of the book is excellent. However, this book is read by the author. His narration is often choppy. It becomes very annoying early in the book and rather distracting.

I'm a lawyer and I am trying to improve my sales skills. This book was exactly what I was looking for. There is no fluff! This book is nothing but sales techniques. The only discussion about "motivation " is used in relation to a sales technique discussed in the book. This is a book I will definitely listen to multiple times. He moves through the various techniques quickly so your time isn't wasted.

This was a great story. However the ending left me a little dissatisfied. It was not as bad as gone girl where the bad guy or girl in that case escapes punishment but it was almost. There is no real justice for the main character and although some issues are resolved for him in some significant ways they aren't. Major bad actors get away with their bad deeds. And another character has an unresolved ending. We have no idea exactly what happened to him.

I love these books with this main character and his supporting cast. Even my five-year-old son was enthralled listening to parts of this book. Pendergast never ceases to amaze. The thread of redemption, Acceptance of responsibility, the overcoming of fear, and the lengths one will go to in order to protect the ones we love make this story great!
