This is perhaps the best modern Political/Social novel with a Romance heading. If it were not for the LGBT label that is limited to Romance alone, the story itself is like a really good follow up of "West Wing" with fast moving expositions, complex characters, and intricate politics. Yes, the main character is involved with the Prince of Wales, but the plot of the story is rich with modern nuances. Is this a story for everyone? Maybe not, but for fans of the rapid fire political exposition, intriguing story settings, and complex characters, it is worth the time to listen.

People seem to get held back by the "gay" label, but a good story should not be held up for that reason.

I also do agree that the Kindle/Paperback versions are lacking what the Audible version seems to do far better in carrying out the scope of this story and its rapid motions of political discourse. Like the "West Wing"' style pioneered by Aaron Sorkin, this story is best listened to or watched, but not read as it might be too daunting for readers or too inconsistent at places, because realistically this style of writing is made for a visceral appeal, not a reader with a book going chapter by chapter.

The plot was deep and rich, filled with everything they came before In a series that Is defined by its mythology. In the End, I think the series is worth a read or listen

It was return to form for the series with intrigue, plots, and palace conspiracies with in the series. The story is a traditional mystery set with the mythological Setting of night Runner. I think the story is less traditional fantasy in terms of there being less travel and world building as you might have read from prior books in the series, but over all, the way the offer tells it actually makes it unique.

The plot line has main consistencies from traders moon. I do Grant that the writing is not as complex as prior books in the series, relying more on high fantasy then world building fantasy. Yet, the Author Has established a very interesting plot arc for next book in the series. What is the mysterious white here child? How does he fit in to the mythology of Night Runner? And Why the leader U LAN Would desire him? Are all very good questions for another book

The story worked extremely well with intricate details of politics and world building for the Night Runner series. I hope the rest of the series can have an equal portrayal complex characters and plots!
