Valentine French may be the sassiest dating columnist in New York City, but the abundance of metrosexuals in her adopted metropolis is seriously cramping her style. Where are the beefy all-American boys? Hoping to find some inspiration, Val heads to Alaska, where the men outnumber the women 15 to one and wrestle grizzly bears for sport. Good things come in extra-large, smoking hot packages. Things like pizza. The very pizzas that I deliver for my dad's restaurant, Peretti's Pizza. It's a temporary job, something to pay the bills until I graduate from school, but it does the trick. In fact, it's working quite well - until Ryan Pierce of the Minnesota Stars decides to order a pizza from me, and life as I know it turns upside down. You see, Ryan Pierce doesn't just open his front door. He opens it buck naked.

Is there anything you would change about this book?

The protagonist is so annoying. She is a know it all and talks about things so absurd and dorky, but not cute dorky, annoying dorky. And what group of single young women gets together to knit? That is soooo ridiculous and dumb. I mean make it a book club or a wine club and if you had to a sewing club but really, knitting?

What could Penny Reid have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Make the protagonist a bit more like able. Make her dorky in a cute way not an obnoxious know it all way. I don't know if I will be able to finish this book because she is so annoying.
