Soon, the vambraces faded to legend. Now, Frank and Marine Space Corps-1 find themselves across the galaxy, where an ancient evil is growing. I greatly enjoy the idea of stargate, which is clearly an influence. Not a fan of Green Lantern, a second major influence in this story. unfortunately I felt like the story was written by a 13 year old boy. Very hokey/corny. listened to whole story, (because I paid for it, so i did give it a chance. it just never resonated with me and was just too over the top. Maybe this is for you if you like Green Latern, but definitely not a choice i would like to repeat.

For 300,000 colonists, the new colony brings the promise of a fresh start...a second chance. Connor might be the wrong man for the colony, but he's the right man to see that it survives what's coming.

When he’s told his gaming scores are good enough to qualify him for a brand-new training program designed to find recruits talented enough to pilot humanity’s first mechs, he can hardly believe it. There are hundreds of other recruits competing for the same eight jobs, and they’re all as skilled as he is. But Jake refuses to give up, because humanity is facing its greatest threat yet. If someone doesn’t step up, it could all be over for the human species. Contains the complete series.

I wanted to like it; just could not get past the extremely bad characters, poorly created names, lack if any viable tactical decisions, and some really bad science. I slogged through this series as I had purchased the complete set hoping it would get better, but did not. So far, out of the hundreds of scifi books I have been through, this series is a leader as the worst.

It was supposed to be an easy job: find the Dark Star Revolution Starships, destroy them, and go home. But a booby-trapped vessel decimates the Meridian Alliance fleet, leaving Serengeti - a Valkyrie class warship with a sentient AI brain - on her own, wrecked and abandoned in an empty expanse of space. On the edge of total failure, Serengeti thinks only of her crew. She herds the survivors into a lifeboat, intending to sling them into space. But the escape pod sticks in her belly, locking the cryogenically frozen crew inside.

Depends on your tastes, but I would not recommend this book. It was very boring. Too wordy and would not get to the point. Listened all the way through to give it a full chance (Especially since I paid for it). Even the actions sequences were boring. The entire booked was the ship adrift. Just was not very good in my opinion. Your call, though.

Jazz Bashara is a criminal. Well, sort of. Life on Artemis, the first and only city on the moon, is tough if you're not a rich tourist or an eccentric billionaire. So smuggling in the occasional harmless bit of contraband barely counts, right? Not when you've got debts to pay and your job as a porter barely covers the rent. Everything changes when Jazz sees the chance to commit the perfect crime, with a reward too lucrative to turn down.

Although I greatly enjoyed many other books by both the author and narrator, this one was poorly crafted. The heroes are military but demonstrate third grade battle tactics and absolutely no OpSec. Feels very much like a story my 12 year old would write. Cannot even viable list all the errors without spending more time than I care too. Very sad to have to write a bad review for this author. Also, disappointed that the mobile app would not permit me to give this book one star. anytime hit one star; would automatically give two stars. Ham handed.
