The historic hotel in Boonsboro has endured war and peace, the changing of hands, and even rumored hauntings. Now it’s getting a major face-lift from the Montgomery brothers and their eccentric mother. As the architect in the family, Beckett’s social life consists mostly of talking shop over pizza and beer. But there’s another project he’s got his eye on: the girl he’s been waiting to kiss since he was sixteen.

I enjoyed the story and like book series however I don’t understand why the author uses God’s name in vain throughout the book.

I enjoy series related books with a mystery theme. When I found this one, I was pleased. A lot of mysteries are heavy and can be dark in nature. This one is not heavy nor dark, just good clean mystery. Like the game Clue. I kept trying to figure out 'who done it'. Now I am on to the next one in the series.

We all have a longing to be significant. We want to make a contribution, to be a part of something noble and purposeful. But many people wrongly believe significance is unattainable. They worry that it's too big for them to achieve. That they have to have an amazing idea, be a certain age, have a lot of money, or be powerful or famous to make a real difference. The good news is that none of those things is necessary for you to achieve significance and create a lasting legacy.

John Maxwell provides an easily comprehendible way to change how one can choose to live intentionally. I will naturally listen to it repeatedly for the information to soak in, however he has a soothing delivery that lends to wanting to listen again. I believe that anyone who feels unsatisfied with their current situation would benefit from listening. It may just bring the shift in your life you've been searching for but couldn't get out of your own way to see it.

I started the series on a long train ride. I knew nothing about the author or storyline, just found it on audible. I like the premise of time travel and the fact it was long and would hopefully pass the time enjoyably. That train ride was August 20, 2014. I agree with reviews that Diana may get a little long winded in the details but that is because I become anxious to find out more. You cannot, however, fast forward. You will miss something. Towards the end of each book, I have tried to convince myself "I am going to take a break and not get the next book". That has never been the case. I immediately have logged back onto audible for the next installment. Today I will experience withdrawals. It is time though. Jamie and Claire have consumed me for the past 4+ months. It requires a special person to take such good care of her characters and I commend Ms. Gabaldon in her achievement. I look especially forward to book 9. In the meantime, I shall move forward in my own reality. Take care in choosing to start the series. But should you, start with book 1 and you will not be disappointed. Best, Rebecca
