Before becoming America's first-ever female network chief meteorologist or appearing on Dancing with the Stars, ABC News's Ginger Zee checked herself into a mental health hospital.

Natural Disaster: I Cover Them. I Am One. is Ginger's heartbreaking, hilarious, and harshly honest life story - from Dickhead's (you won't soon forget that name) deck on Lake Michigan to her storm-chasing dream at ABC News.

3.5. Only book I ever HAD to listen on regular speed vs faster. I liked Ginger’s book, and there are a handful of “to remember“ quotes, but it could have been so much better. I remember her from her Chicago days. I like her a lot & admire her accomplishments. I’m glad she wrote what she did, but it needed more emotional depth. Depression “focus” was skimmed over too much. It was supposed to help fight the stigma, I believe. I’m not sure it did. It may have hurt it. For Ginger, depression seemed to have been cured, and all’s well that ends well with a happily ever after. (That’s not a spoiler.) That doesn’t fight the stigma. Hopefully she’ll write part two.

What Jack needs is an excuse to leave town. Ever since rescuing four teenagers from a car wreck, he's been hailed as a hero and the attention is making him itchy, especially since his too-pretty ex-wife is back, angling for a reunion. He's always liked Emmaline. She needs a weekend date? No problem. So when they wind up in bed together, Em chalks it up to red wine and chocolate cake, just one impulsive night not to be repeated. But Jack's pushing for more.

I’ve listened to 13 KH books so far (all in the Romance Package), including her other series. 5 starts to all but one. This deserves 6 stars!! Definitely more compelling than the others! One more Blue Heron to go. I’ll miss these guys!! Then on to the rest of KH books. I wish they all were in the Romance Package!

This heartfelt Audible Original, narrated by Emmy and Tony Award-winning actress Mary-Louise Parker, follows three military veterans as they reclaim their most painful memories and turn them into comedy. Michael Garvey, Isaura Ramirez, and Patrick Harth left combat zones to challenge themselves in a stand-up comedy boot camp. As they learn to transform their raw emotions into cathartic experiences, they face the daunting challenge of trying to make an audience laugh with jokes about war, trauma, and mental health.

I wanted to hear more and learn more about the people presented, hear more of their comedy. WELL DONE AUDIBLE for focusing on our veterans! Thank you Armed Services Arts Program!
