They call me a slut. Maybe I am. Sometimes I do things I despise. Sometimes men take without asking. But I have a musical gift, only a year left of high school, and a plan. With one obstacle. Emeric Marceaux doesn’t just take. He seizes my will power and bangs it like a dark note. When he commands me to play, I want to give him everything. I kneel for his punishments, tremble for his touch, and risk it all for our stolen moments.

This book was a good surprise to me. I am delighted that Kevin Hart would want to share the intimate journey of, not only his career, but of his life as well. I already considered him to be my all time favorite comedian, and after hearing this book I have a more in depth respect for him as a person. The icing on the cake was narrating himself , absolutely ingenious, in deed. I am certain that none of the impact of the book would have been the same if anyone other than Kevin had narrated it. Way to go Kev!!!

There was no relief of heaviness, not even in the ending . Nevertheless , I enjoyed the overall read of the storyline and I would like to be able to experience a sequel of a little more light heartedness and happiness. I know....call me a traditionslist.

This story was very well written. And the storyline, as well as, the storytelling was captivating. I especially enjoyed being able to identify with much of the setting and surroundings. I also appreciate the realistic dialect and cultural expression. My daughter lives there and has many French-creo friends. The research and hard work is vivid and was obviously shown in the details of the story.
