I always enjoy Debbie Macomber. Maybe some of the outcomes are predictable, but she has a nice way of bringing a story together. The best thing about this book is Delilah, the narrator. She speaks with a smile in her voice, and is perfect for Macomber books. Looking forward to the next installment of life on Blossom Street!

I was disappointed to realize, after I purchased this title, that it was a copy of the book adapted for radio. Lots of different voices, but also lots of very distracting sound affects. Would not ever order this type of recording again.

Holly and Stone, together again

I really like the Holly Barker character, and it is good to see her pair up with Stone again. The story was good, and it was an easy listen.
My only complaint is that the reader mis-pronounced the city where Stone left his plane to be worked on ... Spokane is pronounced like "Spo-can" not Spo-cane. Surprising that such a good reader would get that wrong.

I have now read several of the Joanna Brady series, and the author continues to evolve the character nicely. I especially enjoyed the two story-lines and how she wove them together. A good story, with excellent narration and a thoroughly believable working woman main character make this a great listen.

I have enjoyed Elizabeth Peters' prior novels, but this one was so bad that - for the first time ever - I quit listening to it less than half way through. I like the narrator, but even she couldn't breath life into this very boring story. I should have read ALL the reviews - the one that called this book "tedious" was right on.
What a disappointment!

I agree that some loose ends could have been more neatly tied up, but I really liked the fact that the story was told in a real life scenario. Sheriff Brady had to deal with a never-ending assortment of law enforcement issues, while at the same time having to deal with her family and personal life. She's a good character for J.A. Jance, and I hope to hear more of her.
