Skye Summers beat the odds. Professionally her life's a success - every day, she cures the sick and heals the wounded. Personally? Her life couldn't be more of a mess. She's tired of putting up with arrogant men who think nothing of ripping out her heart. She's taking a break. No more dating. No more relationships. No more men. Ash Dean has it all: fame, fortune, and the adoration of screaming fans. But the constant parties and an endless string of one-night stands are taking their toll. He's tired of superficial women who care only about sleeping with a rock star. He's taking a break.

Heart's Insanity: An Angel Fire Rock Romance was a great book by Ellie Masters. Skye had a terrible upbringing but now is a successful doctor. Unfortunately her life is still a mess. She has been hurt by men and has decided to not have any more relationships. Ash comes stumbling into Skye's life when he's taking a break from his rock star life. I absolutely fell in love with Ashe and Skye as individuals as well as a couple. I loved reading this book and can't wait to read more by the author.

Can you ever really bury the past? On a cold November evening back in 1982, real estate lawyer, Marty Finnegan, and socialite, Tracy Reynolds, were seen fighting outside the dining room of the Wolforts Roost Country Club. Unbeknownst to them, three drunken teenage boys who attend the same prep school were witnessing their bitter exchange under the cover of darkness. When the boys decide to head out on a joyride that includes holding up Finnegan at gunpoint, their lives take a turn for the worse.

Sins of the Sons was another good read by Vincent Zandri. In 1982 three boys witness a couple fighting outside a country club. They decide to go on a joyride and hold up the man at gunpoint. The next day he is discovered dead near his home. Now 35 years later one of the three boys has found God and wants to confess their story to the world. One of the other boys will do anything to stop the confession. PI Marconi now must reluctantly persuade the man to now make his confession. At the same time the police hire Marconi to look into the case. This was another good read by Vincent Zandri. I can't wait to read more by the author.

I met her among the chaos of a gang fight - one that I inadvertently started. Ember. Beautiful, feisty, and passionate. And the sister of Mercy, an infamous assassin. We fell for each other, hard. Until forces outside of our control intervened. Now, she's a prisoner, doing everything she can to keep her family safe. And I'm her guard, doing everything I can to set her free. I'd take a bullet for her. Hell, I'd take a few. In this dark, twisted world, we only have each other. But I have to wonder, is that enough?
