This was a wonderful story made more wonderful by Mary Jane Wells! She does a fantastic job in narrating historical romances. I have listened to several historical romances that she has narrated and have really enjoyed all of them. Love all of the British accents that she does.

Struggling playwright Sarah Pettijohn is absolutely the last woman Gavin Whitridge, Duke of Baynton, would ever fall in love with. However, there is something about her that stirs his blood, which makes her perfect for a bargain he has in mind: In exchange for backing her play, he wants Sarah to teach him about love.

I love listening to Mary Jane Wells narrate historical novels. Her voice characterizations are right on the mark!! She brings each character to life within the story. There is a new audible coming out in Feb 2019 by Lisa Kleypas and I hope Mary Jane will be the narrator.

I loved Drew. He was so naughty and full of himself, but was so remorseful when he realized how much he hurt Kate. All of his ideas to make her realize that the was truly sorry were wonderful. I liked how Kate did not give into him readily and made him work harder for her forgiveness. Sebastian York is one of the best narrators ever!! Love, love, love his voice.

He needs an heir - which means he needs a wife. When Emma Gladstone, a vicar's daughter turned seamstress, appears in his library wearing a wedding gown, he decides on the spot that she'll do.

Loved the relationship/love between Catherine and Luke. They both had such strong personalities. My heart broke for Luke when he finally regained his memory of how his parents had died. I loved how Catherine comforted him. The secondary characters were also very interesting and enjoyable. Will definitely be reading/listening more of Lorraine Heath. Susan Erickson was an amazing narrator.

I was raised on the streets, so I know things are rarely as simple as they appear - especially this rich girl showing up at my pawnshop demanding a job. She's the most tempting thing I've ever seen, and I'll be damned if I can make her leave. S--t just got complicated...but when it comes to her, I want complicated. We're both fighting our own demons, and our only chance at a future is to let go of the past. But will we be strong enough to break free from beneath these chains?

They are so good they spoil it for other narrators for me when listening to other audiobooks. I do like a few others that I like, but they are bar far the best. This series of Meghan's is amazing. I have a few left to listen/read but not rushing to get to them because I don't want this series to end.

I used to believe there were lines in life you don't cross. Don't lie. Don't cheat. Don't steal. Until I learned people don't always practice what they preach. I turned in my badge and gun and walked away from everything. Then I got the call no one wants, and I'm back in New Orleans. What I don't expect is for her to be here, too. Another line you don't cross? Don't touch your best friend's little sister. She's always been off-limits. Too bad I don't follow the rules anymore.

I was so happy when I found out that this book was about Rhett Hennessy. I loved him in the book about Rix and Valentina. My heart broke for him when he found out about his dad in that story and then he didn't even get the girl! ( I did like Rix with Valentina tho). Loved that he found his own woman in this story. Again, I can never say enough about Andi and Sebastian performances--- that are amazing!!

This was yummy because of Andrew's and Amelia's relationship and sweet because of Andrew's and Bell's relationship. Loved the fact that he was sensitive and protective of Amelia. Liked that he kept her safe from her ex-husband and was respectful of her and of what she felt. Loved how he was with Bell; funny , loving, protective and always there for her. She always came first. He was an awesome dad!! Always enjoy Andi's and Sebastian's narration. Listening to them spoils me from trying to listen to other narrators.

Jake McKallister might have been a rock star, but he was no ordinary one. Surviving an unspeakable crime as a young teen had shaped him into a guarded workaholic, and he now lived his life trying to forget. If it hadn't been for music and the redemption he found through it, he might not have survived. Career success came easily for him. Personal connections did not.
