My first Lisa Jewell book and not my last. Loved her quirky characters. The narrator was good too - which is essential!

Amber Patterson is fed up. She's tired of being a nobody: a plain, invisible woman who blends into the background. She deserves more - a life of money and power like the one blond-haired, blue-eyed goddess Daphne Parrish takes for granted. To everyone in the exclusive town of Bishops Harbor, Connecticut, Daphne - a socialite and philanthropist - and her real-estate mogul husband, Jackson, are a couple straight out of a fairy tale. Amber's envy could eat her alive...if she didn't have a plan.

Many people eat a gluten-free diet, but they may not be aware that the real culprit that's responsible for their ill health is in fact a protein known as "lectin". This little-known intolerance can cause a wide range of nasty symptoms, from leaky gut to autoimmune disorders. The good news is that you can help to eliminate those symptoms if you make a few changes to the way that you eat.

When you listen to this audiobook, you will make many assumptions. You will assume you are listening to a story about a jealous ex-wife. You will assume she is obsessed with her replacement - a beautiful, younger woman who is about to marry the man they both love. You will assume you know the anatomy of this tangled love triangle. Assume nothing. Twisted and deliciously chilling, The Wife Between Us exposes the secret complexities of an enviable marriage - and the dangerous truths we ignore in the name of love.

On November 22, 1963, three shots rang out in Dallas, President Kennedy died, and the world changed. What if you could change it back? In this brilliantly conceived tour de force, Stephen King - who has absorbed the social, political, and popular culture of his generation more imaginatively and thoroughly than any other writer - takes listeners on an incredible journey into the past and the possibility of altering it.

Lo Blacklock, a journalist who writes for a travel magazine, has just been given the assignment of a lifetime: a week on a luxury cruise with only a handful of cabins. The sky is clear, the waters calm, and the veneered, select guests jovial as the exclusive cruise ship, the Aurora, begins her voyage in the picturesque North Sea. At first Lo's stay is nothing but pleasant: The cabins are plush, the dinner parties are sparkling, and the guests are elegant. But as the week wears on, frigid winds whip the deck, and gray skies fall.

If you could sum up The Woman in Cabin 10 in three words, what would they be?

Claustrophobic, Twist, Thriller

Who was your favorite character and why?

Lo is the main character and she is very flawed, but even so, relatable. The description of the boat, the sea, etc, is creepy and vivid.

What does Imogen Church bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

There is something about the tone of her voice that is very likable. I became a bit obsessed with the writer and Church and I am a bit sad that I have run through all the available books!

Would you try another book from Datis Kharrazian and/or Keith Michaels?

I am sure there was some excellent information in this read but I got lost early on. There were some moments of clarity, only to be plummeted back into the scientific chasm of 'what?'. Amy Myers book is still my favorite on the subject but I will keep reading!

What do you think your next listen will be?

Something meaningless and shallow so I can unwrap my brain.

How could the performance have been better?

Nor performers fault for the most part.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

Yes, there were interesting moments that were lost. No way to go back and find them, however.

Any additional comments?

No.
