Novelist Sheri Reynolds weaves lyrical prose and folksy dialogue into her spellbinding tales. The Rapture of Canaan, a New York Times best-seller, is the moving story of a teenaged girl clashing with her harshly controlled world. Growing up in a closed religious community deep in the rural South, 15-year-old Ninah Huff painstakingly and obediently follows her church’s many rules—she knows that public humiliation follows the smallest transgression

One of the best books I have listened to on Audible. The narrator did an incredible job being all the different characters. The author made me want to hire her to describe my life.

Any additional comments?

The book is not as exciting or fluid as the first two. It has more of a character of a thriller than anything else and the romance is completely lost. The ending does not give any substance or meaning to the previous struggles of the main character while other characters behave in an inconstant manner to their previously built personality. Sad and disappointing!
