I loved this story. I was equal parts creeped out and intrigued. It reads like a movie so I saw flashes of her confusion, the hotel and felt her need for sleep. Great series. I hope Audible does this next year too. Thanks.

This may be a great story but the female narrator’s voice grated on my nerves and I could not finish. I am going to buy the ebook and try it out.

The author gifted me a copy and I wanted to leave a review.

Within minutes, I was ready to call in at work so I could finish this story. I'll start with the heat level. This book had a slow burn that ended up being red hot. The steamy scenes were well crafted and so freaking hot, that I kept saying aloud, "Run Trudy, I think he's trying to kill you." and "OMG, that was hot."

Trudy wasn't a "take no prisoners" warrior heroine, but she wasn't a featherweight either. I liked that Trudy had a backbone and was still able to be a nice person. Seeing murder after murder through the eyes of the killer, should have made her harder. Levi was a different kind of alpha male. He was self aware and that made him even more irresistible. The chemistry between them was scorching.

The story wasn't overly original, but it was a great take on the paranormal romantic suspense genre. I judge a mystery, by how quickly I find the killer. Although my original guess was correct, the author made me doubt it several times. That made it a great story. I am curious about what happens next. Although this story has some hot scenes, they were not the focus of the plot and could have been removed and not hurt the story.

The narrator was amazing. He really made the book come alive. His voice is exactly how I expected Levi to sound and he did a great job giving each character, character. He made my top 5 list with this one book. Please keep him.

My name's Quinn. If you buy into my reputation, I'm the most notorious demon hunter in New England. But rumors of my badassery have been slightly exaggerated. Instead of having kung-fu skills and a closet full of medieval weapons, I'm an ex-junkie with a talent for being in the wrong place at the right time. Or the right place at the wrong time. Or…whatever. Wanted for crimes against inhumanity I (mostly) didn't commit, I was nearly a midnight snack for a werewolf until I was "saved" by a vampire calling itself the Bride of Quiet.

No one is more familiar with Savannah's dark side than homicide detective and native resident Elise Sandburg. She's been haunted for years by her own mysterious past: She was abandoned as a baby in one of the city's ancient cemeteries, and it’s rumored that she is the illegitimate daughter of an infamous Savannah witch doctor. The local Gullah culture of voodoo and magic is one that few outsiders can understand, least of all Elise’s new partner.

I usually don't do cliffhangers. Mostly because the sequel sucks. Perfect us the only way to describe this sequel. Lex is my new YA favorite heroine. She is like a little Kate Daniels and that is some high praise. Wonderfully written
